@artemikRus3 жыл бұрын
I also will keep my strat for the rest of my life. The second guitar I owned and the first when I realised it’s just what I needed. It’s a Japanese strat copy, that costs like Mexican and plays not worse. I also already switched the electronics for 2 pots and it’s lost in price a little bit, so it’s another reason to never sell it

When I first started playing and taking lessons, the owner of the shop who was also a heavy guitar dealer said to me “if you want the best sounding acoustic guitar, get an early 80s Westerly Guild D55.” I got one and it was THEE best acoustic I’ve ever had. I sold it and still regret it. Best guitars ever. Great collection.

My first guitar was a Silvertone black and white with a Kay amp. My brother liked country. He called rock "White Rabbit" music. I would like to hear more about your brother. Dig that black Tele. Do you like the humbucker in it or do you prefer the typical single coil? I actually prefer the neck pick up to the bridge on my Tele, but the humbucker models have always intrigued me.

If you're up for offering an opinion, which LP type guitar would you hold onto if you were limited to one? I'm looking to pick up something in that format in the not too distant future. I own several very nice acoustics(two Goodalls and a Gibson custom shop) and it's time to focus on the electrics. I have an older Parker Fly which is very versatile and a dream to play, but it doesn't do the LP thing. My tele certainly doesn't either. Obviously, if you're not up for giving an opinion, I understand completely. Thank you immensely for all of the great teaching videos! Best regards, Alan Tomlinson

A delightful video. You have some really nice acoustics, especially. I appreciated your comments on the Player Strats, I might check those out. My only Strat is one of the '57 reissues from the '90s that I bought new back then, which I like a lot. In fact, I've liked it so much over the years that it has needed a fret job pretty badly for a long time, and I'm probably going to get that done soon. Have you ever done a run down video on amps/ pedals that you own?
@jamesjames92753 жыл бұрын
I’m not really into having a ton of pedals and amps.
@MultiAxisDiscipline3 жыл бұрын
@@jamesjames9275 I'm with you on that topic. There's a great variety of tones available just from the way the guitar is played, actually exploring the controls on the guitar, and a simple, versatile amplifier. When I'm playing out, I get people wanting to try out my rig, and they are usually surprised that they don't sound like they expect to sound. Most of the sound is in the player, and not the hardware.
