James Taylor - Woodstock (Bethel, Aug 21, 2021)

"Woodstock" was written by ‪@JoniMitchell‬ and first recorded by her on her April 1970 album, “Ladies of the Canyon.” The song has been covered by numerous artists over the years including one of the best known versions by Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young who included the song on their album, “Déjá Vu.”
James Taylor has performed “Woodstock” many times in recent years including several tribute performances for Joni Mitchell herself. Recent performances have included Joni’s 1997 induction into the ‪@rockhall‬, the 2007 ceremony in Toronto celebrating “Woodstock” and Joni’s induction into the ‪@cshfmusic‬; and his most recent public performance which also was televised: “Joni 75: A Birthday Celebration Live at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion in Los Angeles. ‪@SealOfficial‬ sang harmony with James on that performance.

I was in the Navy when Woodstock, this beautiful thing took place. It’s a shame it would never have taken place today! It’s a different world. Although the majority of people are good. I am thankful I grew up in the 50’s & 60’s. Wouldn’t change it for anything! James Taylor and his band could sing anything and make it sound Great!
