I've been a Cult Exit Counselor for 35 years. My target group are the Jehovah's Witnesses. The issue with Jehovah's Witnesses isn't so much false doctrine. It's the authority they submit themselves to. One cannot separate Jehovah God from the Watchtower organization itself. They are one in the same seeing that the organization speaks on behalf of Jehovah God. As long as the Witnesses hold on to that worldview, attempting to show them the "error of thier ways," is pointless. Why? Simply because the only voice or truth that matters to Witnesses is what Jehovah says through the Watchtower. All other world views are viewed as lies from "Satan's organization." The documented fact is that the Watchtower does NOT claim to be inspired by God. Because it is not inspired by Jehovah God, this indicates that all Watchtower teaching is without authority, and is being made up by uninspired men - The Governing Body. (see the book, "To Every Locked Mind There Is A Key."

Romans 14:11 & Phil 2 :10 is a very good question to put to jehovah witnesses. Many more but I always begin with those two verses. If they believe in one God then are they two now or just one? It's the same with revelation 1:8 who was pierced for our transgressions? Then who is coming in the clouds? Then who says I'm alpha and omega? All through there own new world translation Bible. Always ask to look at there Bible. Blessings

Have you any idea in the slightest, know why there is no Tetragrammaton in the NT, albeit in its contracted form as, "ia" (KJV) or "jah" (NASB) in Rev 19, have you?

Phil 2:9 and "other" in the NWT & KIT? (Aug 2009) The NWT & KIT translators [Jehovah's Witnesses] are often criticised for inserting the word "other" into the main body of the text in their NWT & KIT [referred to NWT herein for the sake of brevity]. Typical is the attack by opposers of the NWT: "Please also note the Watchtowerites have edited their “bible” and inserted the word “other” in the English text to change the meaning." [Taken from the BBC Christian message board]. Many opposers seem to suffer from biased theological tunnel vision, because, they forget, do not know or either, couldn't care less, that the NWT is *not* the only "English" translation of the NT to insert "other" into the main body of text at Phil 2:9! The same opposer wrote, "If we look at proper scholarly bibles we can see they stick with the inspired Greek scriptures." I take it, what this Trinitarian opposer means when he said, "proper scholarly bibles", he means bibles that agree with his Trinitarian theology! Yet, Are we to conclude, that translations like the “Weymouth New Testament in Modern Speech (1913) is unscholarly, also the TEV [formerly known as, 'The Good News Bible]. And what about the " New Living Translation", and other English translations that could be cited, are the Trinitarian translators and their translating committees incompetent and unscholarly? It would seem, that they are, if they do not measure up to the above opposers idea of a scholarly translation, especially if a particular English translation [be it by Trinitarian scholars or not] does not agree and measure up to and with what he thinks is or is not implied in the Greek text! What it also means, is that this amature lay Trinitarian, is telling professionally trained [Trinitarian] scholars, that they are biased and unscholarly and his opinion, his word is correct, bearing in mind, that behind many translations, there will generally be a body of scholars, who are experts in their respective fields and that it will be the collective agreement that decides the final English translation etc! What some Trinitarian opposers try to do is denigrate certain translations and their translators, thus giving people the false impression that they are no good, unscholarly and that is why opposers like the above endeavour to denigrate the NWT, but it can be seen that the NWT is not the only English translation to insert "other" into the text of Phil 2:9. It shows, that the various translators and their respective committees sense what is 'implicit' in the Greek text, necessitating the making of 'explicit' in English that which is 'implicit' in the Greek" and in fact all English translations add word not found in the Greek, that is because the two languages are completely different and if one had to translate back into Greek, many English words would have to be subtracted, not added to make the Greek comprehensible to a koine Greek reader...there is nothing untoward about this practice and in fact it is necessary with translating source to destination languages and vice versa! Opposers like the above readily omit important data and the unsuspecting reader is left with a false and misleading impression and may go away, thinking as the opposer thinks and therefore, we have a vicious circle of perpetuated ignorance, bias, lies and deceit...! Phil 2:5, 6 KJV “Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: 6 Who, being in the form of God…” Comment: Since Jesus, who is supposedly God, according to Trinitarianism and was “in the form of God”, he could not have been that same God, of whom he was in the “form of”, one is not in the form of oneself, when one is oneself, otherwise, how can one be in the form of God, when one is that self-same God? At one time, the son of God was in the same form as the God with whom he was with (John 1:1, 2; 4:24), thus, they cannot both simultaneously be that one and the self-same God, only one can be God, the other is the “image” of the God with whom he is with, thus, the son is a second God, but, in what sense? A second God, the lesser God? Contrast Heb 1:9 with Heb 1:8, where in Heb 1:8 Trinitarians insist, Jesus is God, if that is true, then, Jesus, as God, stands in relation to and juxtaposition of the God who is his God, so that, God (v8) has a God, one who is God to God (v9); therefore, it is illogical for Jesus to be Almighty God, the one true God and simultaneously, have an Almighty God over and above him, who is his God, thus, for Jesus to be called God, it must be in a lesser sense (1 Cor 8:5), thus, the Trinitarian view is untenable, never mind illogical! To be in the form of something else, logic dictates that, being in the form of something else, that which is in the form of something else, cannot be that something else, thus Jesus cannot be in the form of the God he is with (john 1:1, 2) and at one and the same time be that God, because, he is with the God of whom he is in the form of!

@@adrianaskirvin9849 Not really. A JW would be able to refute the reasoning that is used in these texts. Example. Who is the Alpha and Omega? He implies that it is a title for Jesus. Rev 21:5 "And He who sits on the throne said, “Behold, I am making all things new.” And He *said, “Write, for these words are faithful and true.” 6 Then He said to me, “It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give to the one who thirsts from the spring of the water of life without cost. 7 He who overcomes will inherit these things, and I will be his God and he will be My son." "He who sits on the throne" is used repeatedly in the Revelation and in every single case, it speaks of the Father, not the Son. The one who "overcome" are to be "sons" of God. This can only be the Father as we know that those who overcome are "brothers of Christ", not sons of Christ.

@@adrianaskirvin9849 Anyway, I can already give you 3 vital questions to ask him: 1) Since Jesus received *all* authority in heaven and earth in 33aC, what authority was left for Him receive in 1914? (JWs preach that Jesus only became King in 1914) 2) If Jehovah always had an organization, why Charles T. Russel had to found a new org, the "Watchtower bible and Tract Society", instead of simply joining himself to the organization that "Jehovah always had"? (JWs teach that God always had an organization, and that you need to join this organization to be saved) 3) In John 17:3 Jesus said that there's "only ONE True God", so that "a god" that appears in reference to Jesus in John 1:1 the "New World Translation" is a true or false "god"? (if Jesus is a true God, He must be worshiped, if He's not, so what a false god does beside the Father?) These questions are good for a start. They touch vital beliefs of the Witnesses.

I'm not a Jehovah's Witness but I have read the bible before and I have a question....Who did Jesus, as a Jew, worship? The reason I ask this is because from what I understand a Christian is suppose to follow Jesus' footsteps, in other words, they must imitate Christ. If Jesus worshiped Yahweh (Jehovah), shouldn't his followers do the same?

Glad you're not a JW. They are false teachers, false prophets and a terrible cult! JWs "truth"? "Jehovah's Witnesses, in their eagerness for Jesus' second coming, *have suggested dates that turned out to be incorrect."* Awake 1993 Mar 22 page4 *Jehovah’s Witnesses have had wrong expectations about when the end would come.* Jan 1, 2013 Watchtower "Does this admission of making mistakes stamp them [Jehovah's Witnesses] as false prophets? Not at all, for false prophets do not admit to making mistakes." Watchtower, Nov. 1, 1972, page 644 - in brackets added Admitting to making false prophecies doesn't magically change them, they are still Bible defined false prophecies (Deut 18:2-0-22) Very poor reasoning, probably why JWs "suggested dates" and went beyond scripture. "suggested dates, wrong expectations" in God's name? yes, these ARE false prophecies from the Jehovah Witness Organization. God's channel of communications, his voice on earth, God's mouthpiece, JWs? Nope just a false religion!

From what I understand of the trinity concept Jesus was a human, and a Mighty God, Eternal Father (Isaiah 9:6 JW Bible) who emptied himself (Philippians 2:5-7) to become human in likeness. BTW, 'jehovah' is a false man made name for God even the JW literature says it's false but they are stuck with after naming themselves. They know it's false but will make excuses for it's use. JWs call "jehovah" a "misspelled & mispronounced" name for God, they even produced literature calling it a "blunder". "Yahweh . .. is admittedly superior to Jehovah. *'The wrong spelling Jehovah* occurs since about 1100' and then it offers its arguments in favor of Yahweh as the correct and original pronunciation." - Let Your Name Be Sanctified, Jehovah's Witnesses, p 16-20 (JW literature) (JW literature) AID TO BIBLE UNDERSTANDING 1971 Watchtower and Bible Tract Society p884-885 - literature elaborates as to its Catholic origin in 1270: By combining the vowel signs of 'Adho.nay and 'Elo.him' with the four consonants of the Tetragrammaton the pronunciations Yeho.wah' and Yehowih' were formed. The first of these provided the basis for the Latinized form "Jehova(h)." The first recorded use of this form dates from the thirteenth century C.E. Raymundus Martini, a Spanish monk of the Dominican Order, used it in his book Pugeo Fidei of the year 1270. *Hebrew scholars generally favor "Yahweh" as the most likely pronunciation.* "jehovah" = misspelled, mispronounced name for God! A false name. The only way to get rid of a false name for God is to quit using it. They published a "worldy" Bible that says the name Jehovah was a "blunder." See JWs own Byington Bible in Living English, published by WBTS (1971ish), page 7, on your WT Library CD (this is in the intro so is conveniently been left off the JW dot Org website). (thanks Lee) *"As to the Old Testament name of God, certainly the spelling and pronunciation "Jehovah" were originally a blunder."* God wants his name to be known as a "blunder'? Seriously? JW produced literature calls it wrong, misspelled, mispronounced and a blunder, seriously a "blunder"!!!

Apologia Studios It is true that Jehovah's Witnesses do present a different Jesus. Different from James White's Jesus, Jeff Durbins Jesus, and different from the trinitarian Jesus. They present the Biblical Jesus as taught by the writers of the NT and by Jesus himself. When Mary recognized that the man at Jesus' tomb was was in fact the Lord himself Jesus said to her. "Jesus *said to her, “Stop clinging to Me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father; but go to My brethren and say to them, ‘I ascend to My Father and your Father, and My God and your God.’” Jesus and Mary have the same God and by extension the same God as the apostles and disciples, the Father. This is the God of the JWs. Is there is a God other than the God of Jesus and Mary?

JWs do NOT teach the biblical Jesus. Jesus the image of God incarnate (Hebrews 1), He is the Living Word who existed before time, space, and creation (Genesis 1, John 1:1;14), He is One with the Father and the Holy Spirit (John 17; Acts 1-3). He alone is God who grants salvation (John 3-4; Ephesians 1-2; Romans 1-9). Read these in context. The Trinity is in the Old Testament and in the New. When you see “Angel of the Lord” it is Christ Jesus. “Spirit of the Lord” it is the Holy Spirit. The “LORD” it is the Father. All 3 are God, one Being, yet in 3 Multi-Persons creating the Triune Godhead. Read everything in context my friend, seek without anyone teaching you. Read the scriptures for itself outside of the JW texts. I encourage you to just “Let the Word of Christ dwell in you richly.” (Colossians 1). God bless you and I pray you seek the truth.

@@lol24891941 I agree that we should read scripture in context. The thing is that the scripture you quote to support your belief does not fit your conclusion in any context. Take Hebrews 1 for example. You say "Jesus is the image of God incarnate." Jesus is "appointed heir" by the Father. The Father created the world "through the Son" vs2 Jesus is God's image (representation) which in context means he is not God. Jesus sits at the "Majesty's (God, Father) right hand". Jesus "inherits" a name greater than the angels. If you simply read this passage with an honest heart it would be difficult to see Jesus as God incarnate. What you are doing is to read your doctrine into the text and by doing so you are missing what is actually being said. Neither Genesis 1 or John 1-14 teach that Jesus "existed before time, space, and creation". All we are told at the beginning of something Jesus was there. Genesis is speaking of the physical universe and particularly the earth. Even the angels existed before this time period. Where do you see the "oneness" of Father Son and Holy Spirit as one (being) in John 17 and Acts 1? Jesus speaks of being one with the Father but this is clearly in mind and purpose as can be seen by Jesus saying the disciples are to be one in the same way he and the Father are one. John 17:22 It is our duty as Christians to read out of scripture what God wants us to know. Thank you for your kind words and I return them to you in peace.

Mr White tends to try simplify a lot of stuff, but ends up over-complicating way too much, and listeners miss the whole context because the basis wasn't understood from the beginning.

Another classic from James (I'm so clever, I know Greek) White. Here James talks about the importance of looking through the correct lense and book ends. James assumes he has got the correct lenses on. The best his lenses can do is show the alleged 'deity' of Jesus (not a Trinity) from John's prologue. But, of course, one can argue for a divine Son of God who is not the almighty God. So let us substitute and see where we go and what makes most sense, given that the word is a reference to Jesus. 1. In the beginning was the Jesus and the Jesus was with the God, and the Jesus was 'God'. Now, if God is triune, this means that Jesus was with the triune God and Jesus was the triune God. Oops. Jesus can't be the triune God. 2. In the beginning, was the Jesus/Son, the Jesus/the Son was with the Father and Jesus was the Father. Ooops. In the doctrine of the Trinity, the person of the Son is not the person of the Father. 3. In the beginning was the Jesus/ Son , the Jesus/Son was with God and Jesus/Son was divine. Now which makes more sense? Now look at v14 of John 1. Who was made flesh? Was it God or was it the word? And how is the word described ? The only begotten of the Father. (What does begotten mean or imply in every other useage in the Bible?) Now look at verse 18. We are reminded that no man has seen God at any time. ( but they all saw Jesus) He is described as the only begotten god(in oldest Greek texts) or only begotten Son. So we have a begotten god/son and an unbegotten God. Seriously, what makes most sense. James' Trinitarian lenses or the idea that the Son is the divine Son of God. And let's look at the bookend. What was the purpose of the gospel? Was it to show that Jesus was God or the YHWH of the OT ? No ! It was to show that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God.(John 20 :31) The Jesus of the gospels prays to God and worships his God. The Jesus of the gospels is mortal. The Jesus of the gospels dies and is buried. He is raised by his God and exalted to heaven. The resurrected Jesus has a God(John 20 :17). The glorified Jesus in heaven has a God (Rev 3 :12) A God who himself has a God cannot be the ultimate God. Hundreds of times Jesus is differentiated from God in the NT. But the totality of scripture must be ignored. Instead, James and his kind hunt for a few so called 'proof texts' to support their anachronistic idea. But I'm still waiting for James to find the scripture that says God is one essence but three persons or the one that says God is three whos and one what. But what did Jesus and some of his Apostles know,. Maybe they didn't know Greek like James.

You can't even find a Bible anymore without verse division and that is a tragedy IMO. If God wanted verses added he would have added them in the old testament. Think how many less denominations there would be if we didn't have verses to tear from scripture. For 3,000 years there were no verses, and then we think, "Ya verses are the way to go from now on, we are so smart"...

Why are so many people against Jehovah’s Witnesses? Most people are okay with Catholics, baptists, Lutherans, Pentecostals, non-denominational churches, etc. even though they all have somewhat different teachings. John 17:14 “I have given your word to them, but the world has hated them because they are no part of the world, just as I am no part of the world.” All these other religions accept each other, accept immorality, accept pagan based holidays..... but they all hate Jehovah’s Witnesses. Give that some thought.

"accept pagan based holidays" According to JWs God selected them in 1919 and cleansed them. Then chose his 144,000 (rulers with Christ) from 1919 till 1935. Here's how you can tell how FALSE JWs are. The 144,000 JWs believe will rule over everyone with Jesus in heaven are spirit anointed. The numbers for these 144,000 were filled up 1919 until finishing in 1935 according to JW literature (below). However these "spirit anointed ones" would most likely be disfellowshipped as apostates now in their own religion. They most likely at some point smoked, went to war, believed Charles "Taze" Russell was the "faithful slave", *celebrated Christmas,birthdays, Easter, believed in the Cross,* believed the Great Pyramid in Giza was a testimony to the Bible and its chronology, worshiped Jesus until 1945, claimed the KJ version was the perfect Bible, took blood, ect,ect,ect Pagans, pagans, pagans!!! Yes, those with the heavenly hope are the ones that are the most "worldly" and would be kicked out of their own religion if they were JWs today. *They would have to go before a judicial committee and sincerely repent before ruling with Jesus.* What a silly screwy cult!!! The ones going to heaven and be leaders over everyone else are the most sinful, disgusting in the eyes of average JWs! These 144,000 according to average Jehovah's Witnesses were "doing Satan's work". Good grief!!! "Hence, especially after 1966 it was believed that *the heavenly call ceased in 1935."* Watchtower 2007 May 1 p.30 "Their being identified in 1935 as the great crowd of other sheep was an indication that the choosing of the 144,000 was then about complete." Revelation, Its Grand Climax Now at Hand p.125 "We understand that this heavenly calling continued down through the centuries, though during the so-called Dark Ages, there may have been times when the number of anointed ones were very few. With the reestablishment of true Christianity near the end of the last century, more were called and chosen. But it seems that *in the mid-1930's, the full number of the 144,000 was basically completed.* Thus there began to appear a group of loyal Christians with the earthly hope. Jesus termed such "other sheep," who unite in worship with the anointed as one approved flock." Watchtower 1996 Aug 15 p.31

People and the Bible are against JWs. There own words and actions prove they are a false religion, false teachers, false prophets. Question. If you went into a Walmart or a McDonalds and there were 100 people. 10 JWs, 10 Catholics, 10 Baptists,ect. And they were ALL required to carry a sign that said imperfect sinner. Who would hold up signs? JWs sit on their own pedestal and judge others (just as you did), use harsh words when it's "worldly" people but use soft words when it's JWs. Plus, worst yet, you judge for God, play God. From JW literature: "But Jehovah's servants already belong to the *only* organization that will survive the end of this wicked system of things." Watchtower 2007 Dec 15 p.14 *"Only* Christian witnesses of Jehovah who successfully pass this test will survive and come forth like fire-refined gold for God's use in his precious new order." Watchtower 1985 Mar 1 p.14 "Similarly, Jehovah is using *only* one organization today to accomplish his will. To receive everlasting life in the earthly Paradise we must identify that organization and serve God as part of it." Watchtower 1983 Feb 15 p.12 " *Only* Jehovah's Witnesses, those of the anointed remnant and the "great crowd," as a united organization under the protection of the Supreme Organizer, have any Scriptural hope of surviving the impending end of this doomed system dominindividuals today depends on their faith and their loyal association with the earthly part of Jehovah's universal organization."* Watchtower 2006 May 15 p.22 "Are You Prepared for Survival?"

Where does Jesus say we must know koine greek in order to understand salvation? Or belief in the Trinity is an essential doctrine for salvation? Not a single Bible writer was a trinitarian, yet God use all of them to write the Bible. But James White and his fathers, that is the Church, have set themselves higher than God, so by there own standards men who wrote the Bible are not saved. To NOT be a Trinitarian is the most Christian thing you can do, since you are in the fine company of men like Noah, Abraham, Moses, Jacob, and even Jesus himself. Rather be identified with them than with Tertullian, Justin Martyr, Augustine and John Calvin.

Alpha and Omega: To whom does this title properly belong? (1) At Revelation 1:8, its owner is said to be God, the Almighty. In verse 11 according to KJ, that title is applied to one whose description thereafter shows him to be Jesus Christ. But scholars recognize the reference to Alpha and Omega in verse 11 to be spurious, and so it does not appear in RS, NE, JB, NAB, Dy. (2) Many translations of Revelation into Hebrew recognize that the one described in verse 8 is Jehovah, and so they restore the personal name of God there. See NW, 1984 Reference edition. (3) Revelation 21:6, 7 indicates that Christians who are spiritual conquerors are to be ‘sons’ of the one known as the Alpha and the Omega. That is never said of the relationship of spirit-anointed Christians to Jesus Christ. Jesus spoke of them as his ‘brothers.’ (Heb. 2:11; Matt. 12:50; 25:40) But those ‘brothers’ of Jesus are referred to as “sons of God.” (Gal. 3:26; 4:6) (4) At Revelation 22:12, TEV inserts the name Jesus, so the reference to Alpha and Omega in verse 13 is made to appear to apply to him. But the name Jesus does not appear there in Greek, and other translations do not include it. (5) At Revelation 22:13, the Alpha and Omega is also said to be “the first and the last,” which expression is applied to Jesus at Revelation 1:17, 18. Similarly, the expression “apostle” is applied both to Jesus Christ and to certain ones of his followers. But that does not prove that they are the same person or are of equal rank, does it? (Heb. 3:1) So the evidence points to the conclusion that the title “Alpha and Omega” applies to Almighty God, the Father, not to the Son. This scholarly article is from: Trinity, Reasoning From the Scriptures rs, p. 405-p. 426.

A Christian is simply a person who worships God through the son of God. A Protestant Christian Doctor Frank Turek (1961 - ) was asked by Christopher Eric Hitchens (1949 - 2011) "What kind of Christian he is, and who are, and who are not Christians, in his view, who claim to be?" And the good Doctor Frank Turek responded in this manner: "I'm a non-denominational Christian! I believe that anyone who believed that Jesus died and rose again for their sins is a Christian!" I believe that he said it best! The presumptuous accusation by the apostle Paul (Saul Benjamin) (3 - 67) that anyone who comes to preach "a different gospel" about "another Jesus" is of Satan the Devil and is to be accursed of Jehovah God is both erroneous, fallacious, and very wrongfully judgmental to say the least: 2 Corinthians 11: 1 - 33 (1 - 15, 1 - 4) Galatians 1: 1 - 24 (6 - 10) JST 2 Corinthians 11: 1 - 33 (1 - 15, 1 - 4) JST Galatians 1: 1 - 24 (6 - 10) The gospel is simply put "the good news" about the life and ministry of our Lord and Savior even Jesus Christ Judah (8 B.C. - 33 A.D.) in that the only begotten son of our Heavenly Father Jehovah God (Yahweh Elohim Allah) had died for our sins, and that he was buried, and that he was raised from the dead on the third (3rd) day according to the Scriptures (1 Corinthians 15: 1 - 58). Each and Every Christian and therefore All Christians preach this "good news", and so, therefore, all folks (including everyone) who worships God through the son of God are indeed Christians (including both Latter Day Saint Mormons and Jehovah's Witnesses), and for the apostle Paul or anyone (for that matter) to suggest that any Christian who preaches "another gospel" about "another Jesus" is therefore evil and Satanic simply does not pass "the Beelzebub test" in that Satan divided against himself cannot stand: Matthew 12: 1 - 50 (22 - 37) Mark 3: 1 - 35 (20 - 35) Luke 11: 1 - 54 (14 - 28) JST Matthew 12: 1 - 44 (18 - 32) JST Mark 3: 1 - 30 (15 - 30) JST Luke 11: 1 - 55 (15 - 29) The apostle Paul (Saul Benjamin) (3 - 67) of Tarsus arrogantly warned others about fearing those who preach another gospel: 2 Corinthians 11: 1 - 33 (1 - 15, 1 - 4) Galatians 1: 1 - 24 (6 - 10) 2 Corinthians 1: 4 - For if someone comes to you and preaches a Jesus other than the Jesus we preached, or if you receive a different spirit from the Spirit you received, or a different gospel from the one you accepted, you put up with it easily enough. Galatians 1: 8 - But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let them be under God’s curse! Galatians 1: 9 - As we have already said, so now I say again: If anybody is preaching to you a gospel other than what you accepted, let them be under God’s curse! This unreasonable complaint quoted by the apostle above DOES NOT pass the Beelzebub test because both the Latter Day Saint Mormons and the Jehovah's Witnesses only praise Jehovah God (Yahweh Elohim Allah) and His son Jesus Christ Judah (8 B.C. - 33 A.D.), and if they praise God and His son then they CANNOT be at all Satanic! Matthew 12: 22 - 37 Mark 3: 20 - 35 Luke 11: 14 - 28 JST Matthew 12: 1 - 44 (18 - 32) JST Mark 3: 1 - 30 (14, 15 - 30) JST Luke 11: 1 - 55 (15 - 29) Roman Catholics, Jehovah's Witnesses, Seventh-Day Adventists, and Latter-Day Saint Mormons are just as Christian as ANY Christian out there.

JWs call "jehovah" a "misspelled & mispronounced" name for God, they even call it a "blunder". "Yahweh . .. is admittedly superior to Jehovah. *'The wrong spelling Jehovah* occurs since about 1100' and then it offers its arguments in favor of Yahweh as the correct and original pronunciation." - Let Your Name Be Sanctified, Jehovah's Witnesses, p 16-20 AID TO BIBLE UNDERSTANDING 1971 Watchtower and Bible Tract Society p884-885 - literature elaborates as to its Catholic origin in 1270: By combining the vowel signs of 'Adho.nay and 'Elo.him' with the four consonants of the Tetragrammaton the pronunciations Yeho.wah' and Yehowih' were formed. They have admitted that the use of the name Jehovah was a "blunder." See JWs own Byington Bible in Living English, published by WBTS (1971ish), page 7, on your WT Library CD (this is in the intro so is conveniently been left off the JW dot Org website). (thanks Lee) *"As to the Old Testament name of God, certainly the spelling and pronunciation "Jehovah" were originally a blunder."* God wants his name to be known as a "blunder'. Seriously?

@@wylolister3218 Our Heavenly Father has been reverentially called by many names. The Israelite-Jews, Roman Catholics, and Eastern Orthodox call Him by the name of Yahweh. The Protestants and Jehovah's Witnesses call Him by the name of Jehovah. The Latter-Day Saint Mormons call Him by the name of Elohim. The Islamic Muslims call Him by the title of Allah. Whatever name you choose to call our Heavenly Father by, even Jehovah God (Yahweh Elohim Allah), I am sure that you will do so with proper respect and with due reverence. The Christians, the Israelite Jews, and the Islamic Muslims all worship the exact same God! They may have some differing ideas about Him (in fact the Israelite Jews and the Islamic Muslims have very similar views about Him), but it's still Him! Allah is the Arabic word for God in Abrahamic religions. In the English language, the word generally refers to God in Islam. The word is thought to be derived by contraction from al-ilāh, which means "the god", and is related to El and Elah, the Hebrew and Aramaic words for God. Allah is Jehovah God (Yahweh Elohim Allah), it's the same God. Allah is just another title that our Heavenly Father has. The Islamic Muslim people call God by the title of Allah! Allah is indeed Jehovah, it's the same God! Allah is just another title or description of our Heavenly Father! Israelite Jews and the original churches call Him Yahweh, Protestants and Jehovah's Witnesses call Him Jehovah, Latter Day Saint Mormons call Him Elohim, and Islamic Muslims call Him Allah! Allah is Jehovah God, for it's the same God. There is only one God: Jehovah Allah! If you reject the truth that Jesus stated in John 17: 3, then you would believe the HERESY that Jesus is God. Our Lord did not tell a lie when he said as he prayed: "Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent." (John 17: 1 - 26 (1 - 5, 3)) It is a pity that most Rabbis will not teach the Israelite-Jews the name of our GOD: YAHWEH due to either reverence or superstition which is a SHAME! Matthew 11:25 “At that time Jesus said, “I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and learned, and revealed them to little children Acts 4:31 “When they saw the courage of Peter and John and realized that they were unschooled, ordinary men, they were astonished, and they took note that these men had been with Jesus” NIV 1-corinthians 2:9-10 “However, as it is written: “What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived” - the things God has prepared for those who love him 10 these are the things God has revealed to us by his Spirit. I am one of the few Jehovah’s Witnesses that has done a deeper dive in the Greek than most. John 1:1 translation of “a god” vs “God” is essentially going to be a theologically slanted interpretation, since there is no indefinite article in the original Greek and in this verse there is no definite article. So any translation is ultimately a theological choice, although I would argue that the “God” translation is nonsensical. James White’s argument seems to be if you aren’t an expert in Greek you have to right to comment. But it is possible to research individual translation issues, look at the Greek, look at different translations & scholars, etc. I can tell you, having listened to this video, his approach isn’t a good one.

What Trinitarian apologists like White, Bowman, Rhodes...do, is to omit pertinent information from their readers and feed them half truths and then when their readers have swallowed such, hook line and sinker, they further feed them with (now that they know that they have them) outright brainwashing blatant lies; I know, as i have been there!

If that is the case why would John give us a different conclusion than Dr. Whites? John 20:30 "Jesus performed many other signs in the presence of his disciples, which are not recorded in this book. 31 But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name."NIV Dr. White > Johns gospel was written to show that Jesus is God the Son John> I wrote the gospel to show that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God This was a very poor presentation, as well as being completely wrong as to who Jesus is according to John.

NWT 4 As concerning therefore the eating of those things that are offered in sacrifice unto idols, we know that an idol is nothing in the world, and that there is none other God but one. 5 For though there be that are called gods, whether in heaven or in earth, (as there be gods many, and lords many,) 6 But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him. @@wapperjaw8282 what are your thoughts on the trinity?
@wapperjaw8282
@wapperjaw8282 Жыл бұрын
@@Peter-wp5vb The Trinity is not explained at all in the scriptures. As the scriptures says at John 17:3, “This means everlasting life, their coming to know you, *the only true God, and the one whom you sent,* Jesus Christ.” Since it means life to know the only true God, *then you think there would be details of the teaching in the scriptures, but there’s not one sentence, not one paragraph explaining it throughout the entire Bible.* Rather what the teaching does is twist the meaning of words, and twist context, and it clearly *avoids* scriptures that clearly show the doctrine is false! As John 17:3 clearly states it was the one true God that sent Jesus Christ. By Jesus' own testimony he say’s, “Most truly I say to you, a slave is not greater than his master, nor is one who is sent greater than the one who sent him.” - John 13:6 He also clearly said “. . .Father, for the Father is greater . . .” - Joh 14:28. “. . .Now concerning the eating of food offered to idols, we know that an idol is nothing in the world and that there is *no God but one.* For even though there are *so-called gods,* whether in heaven or on earth, just as there are many “gods” and many “lords,” *there is actually to us one God, the Father,* from whom all things are and we for him; and there is one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things are and we through him.” - 1Co 8:4-6 The scriptures are very clear that the one God is the Father only, not one scripture states the Son or the Christ is God. Not one scripture says Jesus is equal to God as claimed by the Trinity teaching. Yet the scriptures clearly show Jesus is a servant of God (Ac 3:13), is still subject to God (1CO 15:27,28), and worships his God (John 20:17). The claim that Jesus is equal to his Father is simply ridiculous and is scripturally uninspired. If an interpretation contradicts any scriptures according to 2 Tim 3:16, 17, it is clearly wrong. What a paradox the Trinity Teaches ... they don't even believe what Jesus says's whom they worship, which is idolatry ...

James White is a Calvinist….so why waste your time witnessing to people that are in cults Mr. White if they are not chosen to be saved. Calvinism is an arrogant, narcissistic, doctrine which falsely accuses Jesus Christ of not dying and resurrecting for the all of mankind. (John 3:16) (Acts 17:30) 2 Peter 3:9) May the Lord deliver you Mr. White from Calvinism.

Jehovah God would never EVER say He has a God that He worships,bows to,answers to etc.Yet Christ did say he does have a God which is in reference to His Father-Jehovah who is above Christ.Christ is also mentioned as having been created,this is brought out in Proverbs.8:22-31.

Christ is fully God and fully man which means as a man on earth he has a God, which is God the Father. Philippians 2 teaches this in detail. 5 Have this attitude in yourselves which was also in Christ Jesus, 6 who, although He existed in the form of God, did not regard equality with God a thing to be grasped, 7 but emptied Himself, taking the form of a bond-servant, and being made in the likeness of men. 8 Being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross. 9 For this reason also, God highly exalted Him, and bestowed on Him the name which is above every name, 10 so that at the name of Jesus EVERY KNEE WILL BOW, of those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth, 11 and that every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. (Philippians 2:5-11, NASB)
