Oh my goodness James---I watch you drawing/watercolor painting and how efortlessly you make it it's amaizing. You give me SO much inspiration and you are my favorite! I was just curious as to how many minutes in real time (not sped up) it takes you to complete one of these covers! I have a blank J.D. jounal cover that I've been wanting to tackle but I am afraid to ruin it. I guess I can just start over with some gesso but I am still in awe of what you do! Keep it up!

Thank you Rachel, and I hear ya! Literally took me months to work up the nerve to paint mine! haha well, not including the gesso part, it probably took me about an hour to complete each one, give or take 20 minutes. I was also working intuitively and not being SUPER careful, but I could accidentally spend a few hours if I start to get that "over-designing" and "perfectionism" problem... haha

I forgot I had two questions for you: what are the "adult" crayola markers called in the stores?..I want to try them out......and do you happen to know if you spray a sealer over Jane's watercolor, whether it be matte or glossy l, does it make the colors lightfast?

You have to buy the flesh tones portrait paint set by Jane to get the stencil which is included as well as the fabulous turquoise paint brush you see James using throughout these videos!

I love the POSCA and Montana, I just wish Montana has a smaller size in their huge color palette.

James Burke they do. They have skinny markers with 1MM nibs and molotow makes fantastic acrylic markers too with an amazing array of interchangeable nibs in their “One 4 All” line.
