I got my bands in the mail yesterday. I just finished this shoulder workout, and as someone who’s never done a shoulder workout with bands before I can honestly say the pump is amazing. My shoulder muscles are on fire and there was zero pressure on my joints. I haven’t trained any other muscles yet but so far I’m sold on using it for my shoulders.

Perfect video! The people "complaining" about "too much talking" are TOTALLY missing the most important aspects of your videos!!?? I am inclined to suggest that your incredibly thoughtful and informative detailed descriptions are the MOST helpful parts of your videos... too many people are just "doing the movement" and not concentrating on maximum contraction and disciplined form, etc. on each movement -- that you intentionally take the time to suggest and describe!!!! Cracks me up how you take the extra time to make sure you TRY to help your audience NOT just drone on like lemmings mindlessly "doing" random exercises like the rest of the masses who we see in the gym every day who never make any meaningful improvements or changes... and these are the same people who complain... HINT: The talking part IS THE IMPORTANT PART!!... lol...😉 Keep doing your thing James!! You are helping a LOT of people!!!! (who are willing to listen!) 👍

I'm becoming a believer of band resistance. I'm 50 and I've been living weights consistently for 3 yrs and I've gotten a lot of size..... but with a price. From shoulder impingement to tendonitis in my forearm and bicep. I started using bands and was blown away with T.U.T. My joints slowly stopped hurting and I've actually gotten more flexible. I bought bands and adjustable dumbells right when the gyms closed. So glad I did. I'm starting to enjoy home workouts more than the gym. I can try new things without feeling judged. I can make all the weird grunting noises I want. And best of all I can work out whenever I want.

My belief is if bands are to heavy or to weak in your mind for a set... you can also get same results not only by adjusting band tension ,but slowing down your movements and lowering your reps... i really belief the time under tension, fullness of motion and total failure are the keys to best results... Great demo!

I’ve been working out for about 35 years. I started using the tube bands when the gyms closed and got excited on the good workouts I was getting with them . I now use the loop bands and I notice their are more options using them vs tubing . It’s kind of a pain in the ass when you have to keep taking bands on and off to change the resistance. No need to do that with the loop bands. I pride myself on my good form so I have to say I enjoy watching how good your form is while using these bands. It’s all about mimicking free weight movements with strict form . I appreciate the videos because watching you do the exercises motivates me. I can’t wait to get home and perform the movements in your videos. Great stuff. Thank You.

I like his attitude with weightlifting and how he shows that it's ok to decrease the weight and work from where a person is at than trying to 'push past your limits' and injure ourselves. It's a breath of fresh air compared to the usual 'PUSH PUSH HARDER' type of stuff.

I just got my new rubber bands, at the gym I mostly used barbell and dumbells for my workout but my gym is still closed so I bought two sets of rubber bands from light to heavy and man those rubber bands really work. thank you and have a good day sir.

If you can look the way you do solely by using the resistance bands, then they must work. Been working out now for just about a month. Using different muscles and knowing that injuries will be fewer. Resistance band training and the use of stabilizer muscles. It is no joke. I use the loop band and place the band under a fold up chair, sit down and do overhead press. The amount of stabilizing muscles firing off is crazy. Great workout.

It’s not only that using bands provide a more dynamic workout than free weights, your exceptionally articulated instructions make it possible to increase the intensity of the burn with time. For people who are disabled like me and can no longer use free weights, it is great that there is an option that is even more effective in building muscle and strength. I am just a bit confused what regimen to follow after completing the 90 day program.

I've used this them in conjunction with yoga for close to a month now. And now I'm using ab focused calisthenics as of last week. Great relaxation, very incredible burn and ultra soreness first day of training. So sore it took the two following days to recover to somewhat be easier to get off the floor from how much fire my abs felt with the bands and yoga. (: Love handles are going down for sure! Sitting here completely wrecked after running through my first PPL bloc S, M, Tu with bands. I really didn't think a full band workout would be as effective as it was. I mounted some unistrut vertically to the wall under my pull-up bar to anchor the bands to, either wrapped or with carbiners. worked out nicely.

Great video! For the trick at 10:27, I found that an even better solution is to use the inside edge where the door hinges meet the door. This is awesome if you want to stay on the side of the door that opens towards you but also works if the door opens away from you too. Also, in a pinch, detachable straps that come with things like duffel bags work great!

Just got mine today and I have to say I'm now laughing at the people saying resistence bands don't give good resistance. I did a quick bicep workout (that's all I could do tonight since I got home from work so late but I really wanted to check these out) usually I can get warmed up and get a couple curls up of 40 lb dumbbells. I took the extra heavy and was able to position my hands to get rid of some slack and easily got it to where I could barely get one bicep curl. So very easily capable of creating more resistance than my 40 lb bell. Immediately impressed with the options this creates

I’ve done weights on and off for years and I have a 15 year to present, martial arts background........about 3 months ago I decided to try gym rings and resistance bands!!!! Honestly it’s the best decision. I get such good workouts from both and i think much faster results. I have family In rural France, 3 bands, my rings, in my bag and before you know it I’m working out under a willow tree, surrounded by the beautiful countryside of the south of France!!! It’s just amazing!!! Drop the weights man body weight and bands are , in my opinion ,the best and more enjoyable!!!

I'm 59 and been lifting free weights off and on for years, but my shoulders and elbows are shot from lifting too heavy... as a result, my weight training at the gym is severely impacted; so I got interested in resistance training with bands recently in an attempt to rehab my joints (especially my rotator cuffs) and have found your videos to be exactly what I need to continue building muscle SAFELY without further harming my joints! I have been training for 10 years with weights and now with bands. I am growing even more with the right weight and tools. Remember to use a metal handle clipped on with a carabiner for the bands so you don’t need a glove and it feels so much better.

I’m a Physical Therapist. There is a reason we use resistance bands for training with patients. The bands use the small stabilizing muscles and not just the prime mover muscles. And that you can work on multiple planes of motion just like how we move in real life. Collectively, this strengthens your body in the way it is naturally, functionally designed to do.

I'm a truck driver and I used to take weights with me on the road but weather and lack of privacy stopped me from exercising. I purchased my first resistance bands on Amazon and I'm exercising inside my cab everday with ease using my foot or feet as anchor points but sometimes i go into the trailer and use special strap connectors I purchased at Home Depot. I never thought I'd be doing bench presses sitting on my bed or squats; the one thing I did notice was how bad I was trembling when i started out with the bands but now I'm not trembling anymore. 😊 Oh , I had to use gloves because the bands grab at the skin.

The increasing resistance to the end of the movement is something you can't get with static weight. I've found resistance bands are a great addition to the home gym.

I had to subscribe because you get straight to the point, too many youtubers talk too much, less than 2min and your already into the setup, I cant complain, I'm 40 and can't stand these young guys and gyals videos for some reason, major disconnect, thanks alot for your time and hardwork

Finally got my Under Sun bands. It took a lot longer than expected, but supply chain problems are slowing everything these days. Comparing them with my aging X-3 bands and some WOD bands, these Under Sun bands are somewhat shorter, and a lot firmer than my other bands. I can tell these bands, and James Grage’s videos, are going to boost my development. After just one workout I can feel the difference.
