Kane being forced to drop back is such a big factor for me. He's amazing at it, but at Spurs it was needed far too often and except for his telepathy with Son it just didn't work as well. Kane being upfront exerting all that pressure I think helps their possession/positional dominance and will lead to more goals, probably spread more evenly between him Olise and Musiala!

I completely agree with the expert on the show that Olise is not only different but also added something magically new to B'liga. He gracefully and beautifully uses his ankles. His ankles have some extra flexibility that goes well to hoodwink and nutmeg any defender. His peripheral vision in spotting the players in the best positions to receive his passes is worth reckoning. Extremely cool and intelligent. Finest recruit of this season. ❤ 🎉❤

I've watched Bayern for all my life and I can barely remember a player that looked this clean. Passing, dribbling, finishing - it doesn't really matter, everything seems to come absolutely natural to him. Makes everything look so easy without becoming sloppy. I have seen him for Palace before and I knew he was a very good player but seeing him week in week out now is still different. Genuinely haven't been this excited for a new player since Ribery. Amazingly talented.

Great video! Love the combinations between him, Kane, and Musiala this season so far, and Gnabry's role as the direct winger is also important. Also in this Bayern team Kimmich's role is very interesting as the 6 who drops deep and completed the most passses in the bundesliga so far, while dropping into that right back position in possession as the rb pushes up and often inverts.

Love him, but the decision-making is indeed a bit questionable. On his 2nd assist, I'd argue that he didn't even pick the 2nd best option, because THAT would have been shooting, the first being laying it off to the far post for Muller after drawing the goalie out. Either way, he's great, I hope he keeps up, and we can build on him. Also, when Kane was announced, I was salivating at the prospect of him unlocking the potential of Sane, Gnabry and Coman, drawing defenders in and backwards, creating space for them to cut inside, providing a ton of assists, etc. Ended up with a bunch of injuries and not a whole lot of end product from any of our wingers. To that end, I'm really happy that Olise is showing out and providing an outlet.

Although to be fair, I've seen this before. Our wingers seem to start strong then go cold and hot, then cold so on... It happened with Gnabry, Sane, Coman, Tel (even though he's still young), Diego Costa, Perisic, Coutinho etc. We've never really replaced Ribery and Robben. I hope he stays consistent.

Coman stayed fairly consistent over the years and perisic was also fairly consistent in the entire season he played I think (he was only on loan for 1 season right?). But yeah rest 100% agreed, bit weird actually.

Now, all I can hope for is that Tel finally finds his confidence and consistency to justify more playing time. The thought of having the young core of Tel, Musiala, Olise and Pavlovic casually balling is just so exciting to me, paired with some veteran leadership from Müller, Kane or Kimmich sounds like a delight to watch lol Not to mention that Olise and Musiala seem to get along VERY well on and off the pitch, Musiala even helping Olise in interviews etc, it's so wholesome and they have so much fun on the pitch together.
