Hey Cinemassacre guys, thanks for checking the game out! I'm Nick, the programmer behind Abobo's Big Adventure and I can't tell you how much fun it is to watch people like you play the game and actually connect with it in such a genuine way. We made this game for our generation that grew up in the 80s and for whom the NES was a huge part of our lives. It really is our love letter to an era and it looks like it was extremely well-received by you two. If you ever want to get together and collaborate on something, I think I can speak for Roger and Pox in saying we'd love to do it! Thanks again for giving the game a chance, I was sincerely laughing out loud along with you while you played :-D

You cannot see how great this game is until you play it. A real tribute to the NES, no, A love letter to the generation that grew with the NES. That -little- Big Mac is such a pain in the ass but with a little bit of patient and practice he can be defeated and when you beat that M.F. I can't describe the feeling of accomplishment, is like what James said: (...) I'm just like numbed (...) Damn I have to give it another try to see what else I can find. BTW in the double dragon stage where you fight the Lindas if you walk between the pipes in the right wall (in front of the elevators) you will go up and find a weird secret room.

Really great game, only adverse thing I can state is the Pox individual who helped make some of the pixel Art, though talented, is a total egotistical git, but just like some of our famous musicians, meeting someone can, in person change one's opinion of them, no matter how skilled they are. Still, this is a damn solid tribute, a roller coaster of nostalgia. Been a while since I met him, who knows maybe he's a bit more personable.

@devilmikey008 жыл бұрын
I don't think you've played a PC game in the last 15 years because basically all of them use WASD for movement. Still his crisscross hands seemed entirely pointless lol I guess whatever feels comfortable.
@jekblom1238 жыл бұрын
devilmikey00 I never fucking understood the stupid ass backwards wasd thing. Its even less ergonomic with all the other keys crowded around it, the arrow keys are usually spaced at least a little bit apart from everything else, they're completely arbitrary aside from the fact that they're together, 'w' is slightly askew from the other 3 inputs making it more awkward to hold your fingers over, Why wasd? Why not esdf? or szxc? or tfgh? or 3wer? or qpzm? Or Esc Ctrl Shift Pgdn? Or something even MORE inconvenient?? Whats the relevance of w a s and d in particular?? This control scheme baffled me as kid when my friend showed me. There's 4 perfectly assigned up, down, left, and right arrows right there on the keyboard away from everything else specifically for you to use and you choose to use these completely random keys off the center of the keyboard.... What? WHAT?? When you pick up a controller do you prefer to hold it upside down because you prefer the uncomfortable awkward buttons instead of something that makes sense and was designed with the human hands in mind to be optimal for control? I asked my friend this and all he had to explain was 'oh well it's on the left'... It took me a little while to understand what the hell that had anything to do anything, then I realized that the directional pad on controllers is always on the left side. I said to myself "are you mother fucking kidding me." apparently gamers are SO handicapped with controls that they would rather assign this random uncomfortable placement of keys to directions instead of the ACTUAL FUCKING DIRECTION *KEYS*. You don't even use your thumb on a keyboard for movement like you do on a controller so WHAT THE FUCK DOES THAT EVEN MATTER? Does this mean that when you drive you only have one dominant hand that can steer the car? And if you have to drive an automatic with your right hand then you're fucked?? God dammit...This is part of the reason I got turned off of pc gaming back then. if I had to remap another fucking control input for a game...
