No ridiculous leotard, no vulgar twerking, no gyrating and stomping around, no crotch shots, no naked legs and bum cheeks out, no crude lyrics. And Antonio... The story goes that this song was originally supposed to be a duet with a male artist. Janet did the beginning "low" voice as a stand in until the real male voice came for the duet. @@daija731 I loved his singing - it wouldn’t “suck”, but we would never have heard this side of Janet, and I like it better than her higher voice - her voice is good no matter what, but I tend to like lower pitched, like when songs have two voices, high and low, or the same singer for both, I’m drawn to the lower ones - maybe it’s because I can’t sing higher pitches, but the lower is all good for me to belt out singing in my car!

It's a testament to the power of love that is expressed in the song (and by extension, the power of a great song). Now, a little six degrees of separation, if I may: When I was in college, I briefly dated a lovely man named Vince who was once upon a time a roommate of Antonio Sabato Jr., who makes a glorious appearance in this video. Fun song Fact: "Love Will Never Do" - Jam and Lewis originally planned this song as a duet and considered Prince as a possible partner for Janet. When she came into the studio, Jam remembered, they prompted her to "sing it low like some guy would sing it" and loved the results so much that they ditched the duet idea.... Wow! Just thinking of would could have been. My two favorite artist doing a song together - my heart probably wouldn't been able to take it!!!
