SG 7-11 has a lot of good instant food, my personal favourites are the Kimchi fried rice, Bulgogi wrap, the Chicken Thighs,Briyani and ALL their sandwiches. The reason why SG 7-11 isnt always talked about is because with the same price, we can get good food at hawker centres instead since hawker centres are everywhere too over here
@kayabutter28834 жыл бұрын
Please don't overfill yourself for a video Ghib! Splitting it into 2 meals is fine, nobody will complain. Also, this is honestly surprising as a local, to know that Singapore 7-11's instant meals aren't all bad.

for us singaporeans 7-11 is literally a convenient store. singaporeans go to 7-11 to eat when all the hawker centers or food courts are closed, which is usually at night, after a long day from work or stuff. unlike japan where 7-11 is to them a restaurant where there are places rto eat and services, us singaporeans usually order to go. btw bandung is a rose syrup drink with condensed milk

Don't know if other Singaporeans share this view but I never really saw the appeal of 7/11 because I feel that most of us have 24/7 eateries or supermarkets nearby. But Japan 7/11 is amazing though, so much variety!
I haven't stepped into a konbini in Singapore for decades. But I can spend an hour or more in awe in a Lawson, 7-11 or Family Mart in Japan. I really love the sandwiches, especially the eggy ones with wasabi mayo 🤤

The quality of convenience meals have improved lots in 7-Eleven! Cannot compare to the Japanese and Taiwanese ones though!!! They are independent from Cheers but they seem to do their ready to heat dishes quite well!

Woah didn't know SG's 7-Eleven had all those savoury choices. I feel like they're not as popular as savoury items in Japan or Korea's convenience stores because you can get them at a similar price point at an actual mamak/hawker stall etc, which would actually be fresher and likely tastier.

What a coincidence. I ate the spicy chicken burger today too. I also had the aglio olio with black pepper chicken. I have tried before their chicken briyani, curry chicken, and most their sandwich selections. I haven't seen the kimchi fried rice and mee goreng at the conbini near my place though. By the way, from my experience with these selections, those with fresh tomato inside, it will shrink if you microwave it. So if you are one who prefer to eat a fresh looking tomato, take it out before microwaving. The char siew pau you got, I believe its chicken meat which is why you may have find it tastes different. I believe the brand is halal, thats why no pork. Yes, I agree these microwavable meals at Singapore 7-11 are actually quite affordable for a quick bite, most are available for less than SG$4, and taste decent. However beverages wise, they are still a little more expensive than other places...
@dorischong25184 жыл бұрын
I watched this video and be like 'are you forreal?" because most Singaporeans would never say food and drinks at 7-11 is cheap. I mean if you compared to coffee shops. For the portion and that they are usually microwavable food, paying $3.90 and $2.90 is expensive imo. I rather pay $5 to $7 for freshly made bentos from 7-11 in Japan. Nonetheless, still glad you enjoyed certain food sold in 7-11 here! Actually, I only wanted to find out how the cookie and cream milk tea tasted so I clicked the video lol
