Thrift stores, gardening, and cats--this is a pretty accurate representation of about 90% of our lives. I'm in the middle of a new DIY project for our cats, but I am also being summoned to our garden with excellent weather so next video may end up being more plants! Thanks to Sakuraco for sponsoring us! team.sakura.co/racheljunadventures-SC2303 and celebrate Japan's Sakura season! Use special code "HANAMI '' and get EXTRA bonus items in your Sakuraco box every month for life! 🌸

Thank you for the video. I'm just happy that Poki is so resilient.😊 Your garden looks so beautiful. 😍 The DVD/fridge-combo would have been a great birthday present for my brother as kids. He allways liked the "cool and expensive" stuff, you could show off.😩 My only "project" right now, is learning. So there is only so much I can do, to speed things up.😭

I recently saw something where a little boy had a play cooking set, and it made me happy as not even that long ago, toys for boys to play cooking didn't exist. Unfortunately, it took the rise of male chefs to show that cooking can be something boys/men can do, but at least we're making progress 😅

I thought it seemed like a brilliant idea for tiny studio apartment setups where you might not have space for both a traditional entertainment center and a mini fridge, or house share where the only space that's fully Yours is a single room with the same layout issues and also your food and drinks have proven to be at risk of disappearing from the communal fridge. Seriously they are so hardy they'll survive when all your other plants die. They come back from being frost bitten and from extreme heat too and even if you yourself fuck up they can even take being cut way too short to a certain extent. My mom has a small rental garden she got from an elderly couple before her and there are some rose bushes on that plot of land that are at least 40+ years old and before my mom took over nobody knew how to properly care for them and they are still thriving.

It’s used the same way. So yes, Jun can do anything *if you’re curious why specifically blind and visually impaired students use an abacus where is most other students here don’t, it’s because abstract concept like multiplication and division with large numbers are harder to learn without having something to touch 3:30

That coffee set looks so cool!! I'm not even a coffee person but it's something i definitely want in my house and serve guests with. Also Jun wanting a Sylvanian Families dollhouse is super relatable lmao.

Miniature design and decorating can be really fun! Seeing how both of you are into DIY, it would be cool to see what kinds of details you would add to a little dollhouse or miniature garden. Maybe a future project?

I lived in Japan 30 years ago and I never saw a thrift store there during my six years. I thought it wasn’t in the cultural norm. Watching this I marvel at the inexpensive and quality of the items. You two sound very happy

It must be so much fun walking with June and Rachel in these stores, you can be on the other side of the store and just hear "JUN! THIS IS SO COOL!"

An easy way to tell what is Marble: rest the palm of your hand on the surface and if the surface doesn't absorb the heat of your hands, is marble. Marble slabs preferred for working pastry dough because it will keep the butter in the dough cold.

Yes, I wanted that vase! I had a dollhouse and never played with it. I read books (starting at 3). But fantasy is my whole life, so now I read manga and books with faeries and elves. I got one set of Lincoln Logs, so I could only build one cabin. I would have loved more. And then, Lego came out and I never got those, but after the move, I am going to get some sets. My friend went to China and brought me an abacus and showed me how to use it, and I became a whiz! You're right, wouldn;t remember now, but some of what you did brought a lot back. I love your shopping trips!

Wow, 500 something dollars is what I pay for a normal yearly checkup with blood work for my cats in the USA. No wonder people don't take care of their pets very well in the states - everyone should but it's so easy to get a pet and can be so hard to pay for any medical care.

In Australia that yellow flowering tree is called wattle! You should do a tea making video with it like you did your cordial plums! You're going to get soooo many birds and insects in your garden because of it yay!

I love thrift stores, second hand stores and antique shops. I've always been budget conscious and since being on a fixed income I'm even more so. I buy all but under garments and shoes at thrift stores and I get food from food pantries to keep down our grocery bills so that all other bills (utilities, mortgage and medical) get paid on time. I also garden and yours is looking great ! Your flowers are beautiful! I can't wait to get my veggies planted , I've started some seeds in my little portable green house . We love our home grown veggies because we organically. So happy for Poki to have had that lump removed it looked very large and uncomfortable for him. Can't wait to see your cat project. ❤
