You should have pitted for new tires. ;-) Years ago I was able to take my Midget around the track at Indy. Amazing indeed, but the experience consisted of one parade lap at around 45mph... and that after signing a sheaf of papers promising that I would not try anything exciting, and that if I did, I would be shown the gate. Granted, this was a huge event, with around 1100 MGs in attendance. So we pootled around the Brickyard enjoying the scenery, while following a prewar Magna or some such, which was blinking in the sunshine and sporting a wobbly wheel. We did get a nice little dash plaque, and took lots of pictures.

Do track videos get any better than this? Budget tyres which protest at the slightest provocation, £200 Mazda 323 that just about made it through the MOT, getting passed by everyone, masses of body roll, getting lost and all with the window slightly open. Thank you, Ian, for giving me the most entertaining video of the Bank Holiday Weekend, it makes my track videos look like professional driving (which they most certainly are not)!

It never ceases to amaze me how relatively small the margin of performance is between a race prepared car and normal road going variants. Yes, the likes of the EVOs are going to fly past but that is to be expected. Considering that even your other back marker colleagues likely spent more on the tyres for their steeds than your entire car budget! Bless it's heart for getting you back safely too without complaint. That engine definitely has no fundamental issues. Looks like good fun.

Can we have a feature length episode about George? Where did he come from? How he chose which parent to live with? His favourite foods? His hunting habits? Why the garage is forbidden? Whether he sleeps in or on the bed? What service he gets at the cattery? His testicular status? Whether he pads? Whether he purrs? What part time work he has, e.g. night time security guard, pest control, food testing, bed warming, house sitting, neighbourhood watch, caring for elderly neighbours? How well does he know the neighbours and do they feed him? What he was like as a kitten? His age? ...and any legendary stories he has to share. - that sort of stuff. I am sure this would make one of the more popular videos with people demanding George merch forever after.
