Strawberry pie filling with clear jel is amazing delicious. The first time I made it was before we knew that the clear jel expanded so much. It ran out and was on the outside of my jars. Thankfully they all sealed. I also make cobbers and shortcake with mine. I like the way you strained the juice and made the jel first. Looks easier than cooking the whole berry, but I have only made it with fresh berries.

Great recipe, Tina! Beautiful color! I made this recipe and canned it up. Used some to make single crust fresh strawberry pie - prebaked crust. My filling was nice and thick (and SO good) but a chilled slice would not hold it's shape. Have u had experience with that? I used fresh berries and processed pints 25 mins.

If you reduce your strawberry liquid, you have leftover, it would intensify the syrup going into the filling

Clear jel just expands. I used bottled juice. Yes they all sealed. The jars were leaking and I wasn’t sure if it would seal but they did.

Tina what is the difference between instant clear gel and the cook gel. And for what I could used the instant clear gel? Thanks for your video

Instant gel is for making pudding and this like that. Cook gel is canning safe.

Oh this was filmed months ago. Yes everything sealed up nicely. Sorry missed the second part. It was leaking out of lid.
