Ketil Bjørnstad is maybe the most underestimated musican we have in Norway. He is well acted from ppl who knows about him and his Music. But there are many ppl in Norway and also other world that should know more about him. Ketil is also a writer and have written many books. Sorry I have not read his books, so that is an unknown side of him for me.It also seem to me that Ketil is not trying to get so very famous, but seem to be comfortable to do what he does.

Oh, he is very well known in Germany! His concerts in my hometown are always overbooked. Shurely he is not so famos as Kari bremnes or Jan Garbarek, but there is no competition jan and Ketil are lifelong friends, as he told me in an interview for our local radio station. It is always a plasure t listen to him. Everytime I feel sad and hopeless, I play his records and than I feel better :-)

I didn’t care much for the book I read. But musically he’s a giant. However, his contemplative style can’t be enough appreciated by too many in this busy world. Their sad loss.

Oh I don’t know. He did write one of the most iconic songs in possibly the whole Norwegian collection. Sommernatt ved fjorden. Everybody knows it.

... He may not be interested in fame like others... Instead he facuses own doings on music... ... It just mesns that it may take longer for world to appreciate him but it will happen... He is great ingenues musician. One of the greatest handfull ever lived...
