Chef here. Made this on Thanksgiving. Today is my second time making it. Hands down the quickest and best cornbread recipe out there. I suggest if you want it fluffier. Beat the egg whites to stiff peaks and fold it in right before you put it into the hot pan/bowl.

Sweet baby Jesus, hands down this is the BEST cornbread I’ve ever made/eaten in my 46 years. Made it in a cast iron pan and I could’ve baked it for 2-3 more minutes (I did 20, my oven runs hot usually) because it was just a little too soft in the middle but that didn’t stop me from horking it down! So good!!!

Every cornbread recipe I’ve tried comes out dry, so I’m going to try this. And a tip for you: spray your measuring spoon (or cup) with cooking spray before measuring out honey (or peanut butter) and it comes out so easily you won’t have to use your finger. 😊

The only cornbread I make, have made it several times. We like to have it with bean soup given how the sweet/salty play off each other. I use a 8" cast iron skillet giving the cornbread more depth for a thick slice. Excellent!

Just made cornbread for the first time using your recipe and it was a huge hit!!! One thing I did after I glazed the top, I saved just a little of the glaze, put slits in the top using a butter knife, and glazed the top some more so the flavors would seep through the middle. Bellisimo!

My Cajun grandparents would take a big chunk of cornbread and put it in a bowl and chop it up with a spoon to bite size pieces. Pour sweetened coffee and milk over the top and with a quick stir eat it like oatmeal. I bet this recipe would be amazing that way.

Let me tell you something… I can’t COUNT how many times I have used this recipe. It is so damn good, such a crowd pleaser!! Best part is the cornbread stays moist for DAYS after. I like to eat this with homemade chili. Perfect balance of sweet and salty 😩😩

Made this corn bread yesterday, it was the best tasting, delicious moist corn bread I’ve ever tasted. The toppings on the corn bread gave it that extra sweetness butter tasting.
