His demeanor on the course.. I've never seen him throw toys from the pram and he's always got time for patrons and especially kids. In my eyes that's more important to a lot of people. I hope he never lets go of that.. He's probably one of the few players with a solid game through the bag. But I'll take his driving considering I'm pushing and push fading everything at the moment.. I've got a big right miss that's derailing rounds and I'm stubborn out so I'm determined to fix it.. I've a goal of getting to a handicap of 3 this season.

Love Jason day. Seems like a genuine guy, down to earth. His take on fade and draw is exactly how I practice. It also works for me. And the comment about slowing the swing down is exactly what I have done over the last year and actually gained distance but more importantly consistency. I played in the how do we beat it comp in Scotland in aid of prostate Cancer UK last year and another competitor mentioned how smooth and slow my swing looked but how powerful, accurate and long my ball flight was. They said it looked effortless. Great video guys as per. Best of luck to Jason this year. Keep up the great work lads.

Very good video. All of the great players mainly played one shape of shot. Fade - Hogan, Nicklaus, Trevino, Rahm, Koepka, and others; Draw - Jones, Player, Watson, Woods, McIlroy and others. Choose either a fade or a draw as your main shape. Never try to hit the ball dead straight. I mainly hit a draw with my driver for distance, and a fade with my irons and 3-wood for control, height, and stopping power. I shot a 60 on a very tough course that way. It works. Of course, putting is the most important part of the game. Learn how to read greens and how to putt, and practice your putting the most.

Jason Day is such a nice guy, as in if I ever won a competition to play a round with a current PGA Tour champion, he'd be one of my top picks because he's so fun to be around. One question as he mentioned it a bit, why do PGA tour players not work more on hitting up on the ball if it can produce better results? I saw an article recently comparing the LPGA players in that they all pretty much hit up on the ball 3 to 4 degrees or more, but the PGA tour average is something like Neutral to 1 degree down. Is it more about not wanting to have to make a more drastic change to something that already works great (as in they're already getting fantastic distance)? Or are there other reasons as to why it's better for them to hit down / neutral on the ball? Would hitting up on the ball be detrimental at those swing speeds in some way? Great video!!
@meandmygolf.5 жыл бұрын
Hi Branson. It can produce longer results but some players just can't get the consistency when hitting up. It's just striking a balance.
