I think crossfit is awesome and it's gotten more people involved in fitness and staying healthy. I just wish people would appreciate ALL fitness styles and get along. Enough with all the hate of each other in general.

I totally agree Morris. What ever type of work out you do crossfit, bodybuilding, yoga or just jogging It does not matter. Which ever one you love to do and can expand on and get results you want do it. All workouts can help with your over all health, find the one that you can see yourself doing for years and you have struck gold.

Normally I don't interject on youtube videos but as an avid lifter and recent member of a local CF gym, there are pluses and minuses to both traditional lifting and CF lifting. Comparing them isn't simple and neither is necessarily wrong. Can Jason Khalipa crush nearly all of us in a CF WOD? Sure. Can he out swim a HS swimmer? Don't bet on it. Can he squat clean more than an olympic lifter? Unlikely. He is good at what he does, is he dominant in everything, of course not. So just appreciate an athlete of his caliber for what he can do and don't go crazy comparing him to everyone and everything.

This whole kipping argument is ridiculous. Has anyone, that's having a sook about kipping, actually considered for starters, how hard it is to judge if someone is doing a completely strict pull-up? It's pretty easy to do a slight kip, some people have even mastered a way of concealing it. The easiest way to not penalise anyone during a comp, is to not have a limitation on it. That way, everyone is set to the same standards, and there's no arguments. Surely that's remotely logical? Crossfitters happen to have a strict pull-up ability, up there with good rock climbers, so to argue against kipping just shows a lack of understanding and education of the competition, and goals at hand. BB has had such an influence on people, that they genuinely believe it's the only way to train! Turns out, there's other ways, and other goals, beyond looking swole.

to all the haters of crossfit. Beat jason khalipas times.......then talk trash. you may be strong and built but if you cant win then you cant say anything. also he is making the big bucks not you. if crossfit sucks and your sooooo good! show up at the competitions and make some money! ive ran into Olympians that go to competitions and they dont even come close alot of times. jus sayin.
@chadz39311 жыл бұрын
Olympians cant take as much drugs as these guys can
@ajcsojourner123411 жыл бұрын
they dont take drugs. taking steroids wouldnt benefit their workouts it would hurt them. you need to look at people that use steroids and see the body difference. these guys obviously dont take drugs.
@chadz39311 жыл бұрын
haha r u joking?
@ajcsojourner123411 жыл бұрын
lance didnt use steroids. he is accused of blood doping. whether the blood he used had steroids in it idk but its unlikely. guys like jason kalipa work out like this 5 times a day. its a life style. of all the people that enter crossfit games rich froning who to say the least is actually one of the smaller guys in the competition somehow wins and kalipa outweighs him by like 30 pounds wtf! also look at their attitudes if they were doing drugs i think after 6 years ( for some longer ) we would be seeing serious health issues and mental problems.
@chadz39311 жыл бұрын
lance and most cyclists use testosterone that's a fact.there are very little health risks ( if any ) from using testosterone, that's a fact.You can't compete at the top level in any sport where strength and endurance are advantageous without drugs, its been that way for a long time its just apart life.and to believe otherwise is extremely naive

Think I saw kipping handstand pushups being done once. Crossfitters would kip a fucking wrist curl if it meant they could do more reps.
@formgren9 жыл бұрын
Craig Sherratt I see alot of bb in the gym doing kipping bicepscurls (becous ego taking to heavy weights) and even small kipps in the pullups aswell, so crossfit is not the only one :)
@JorEl1829 жыл бұрын
Yeah I'll admit to seeing that frequently, but it's only Crossfit that is guilty of the crime of mixing kipping with pullups, punishable by loss of gains and a ban on high-fiving after every single rep

Running is just basic human movement we do. It makes sense to want to know who is the fastest, the strongest, who has the greatest endurance. But who is the best at doing some rowing intervals with some kipping pullups and whatever. It's impressive, but I don't understand why anyone cares. I love sports, weight lifting, running, whatever but I just cannot get excited watching this.

They need to have more running elements in CF. Khalipa is v good at strength endurance and limit strength but he is so bad at running I dont think he deserves to crowned 'fittest man on earth'. Its the most basic of all human movements and if you are poor at it I think it should count against you in CF competitions.

he's not the fittest on Earth. Rich Froning Jr. is. and it's broad. Running is not the only thing in crossfit, just like lifting isn't the only thing. Jason's also not a terrible runner. For weighing 215 lbs, he handles his body pretty well.
