Chris Ray France was the first time eastern euro (russians)have travelled to fight unlike British football fans who have caused it all over for many decades, I agree with you though they take it to new levels getting fighting fit unlike my generation of drunken rioters. 🇬🇧
@SMC01ful7 жыл бұрын
I agree. More a roadside attraction like Stonehenge. The English were all about having all manner of fun, dangerous or otherwise. Stomping around causing a bit of bother with a few lagers. The danger signs were there though. If you look back into the 80's. In 84' the Liverpool lads got smashed up right and proper, by mobs of jibbed up and organized Roma fans. Heysel, in 85' was a bloody tragedy and while the Liverpool fan's were taking a lot less shite, and some were being right villains. The reality of the matter of was for all of the hype, no Liverpool fan's physically beat anyone to death on the day. It was your bog standard charge of the light brigade, which thanks to fucking appalingly naff security, and fucking awful planning and lack of exit points for the Juventus fellows in Section X it turned out badly. Moreover, ticketing was a freaking nightmare. They sold too many tickets to the Juventus fan's; moreover, a tonne of Juventus and Liverpool fan's had gotten into the shitty stadium by kicking holes in the construction, this increased section X's capacity rather dangerously. Anyhow, the deaths of those poor fan's made Liverpool and English team's out to be the worst, most ruthless, child eating bastards, of the lot. When in reality, they were a bunch of pissed up largely disorganised barbarians on a raid, whose actions contributed to people being killed. Thus, in blaming Liverpool via the media largely covering up the findings of Heysel investigation which exonerated Liverpool fans in part. What the Liverpool fans encountered and reported in Rome and Heysel went utterly unnoticed. I mean who would have believed a word from crumby Scouse murderers? Namely, they knew Italian firms while not as brawny made up for their lack of size by being highly organised, weaponized, largely alcohol free, regimented, and always, always, always, in big numbers. Some English fans and journo's who toured with England and covered foreign leagues knew what was up, but it wasn't until English clubs came back into Europe the majority of folks realized wtf the scousers had been on about. It appears the Italian firms were inspired in their jib wielding antics' from the Greek and Turkish fans they encountered. Again, the Greeks and the Turks were another level of crazy bastards who were stabbing, killing, stoning rival fans to death, yet their clubs behaviours barely raised an eyebrow in Europe, until the Leed's lad was stabbed. While everyone spent over a decade bemoaning the English. Hence, while inspired by the English originals the Eastern European hard bastards of today saw how crazed the Turk's were, generally speaking they ditched their weapons and moulded their organizations on Italian ultra's, while incorporating a military training model.

To clarify, Russian hooligans trained hard for months to beat senseless normal England fans that were sat in the sun and having a beer before a game. Anyone that remembers what English hooligans were like in the 70's & 80's knows (and better still) accepts anyone that still takes part in that bullshit is clinging to a bygone era. Anyone that knows the score, knows that proper hooligans are hardly nowhere to be seen these days due to a combination of the FA (police vetting, especially for away tickets & even bog standard membership); CCTV and the courts. The FA, the courts and CCTV combined have made a formidable force to STOP what was ONCE the norm. Anyone on the day that acts like a hooligan from the 70's & 80's is someone that's either easily excitable OR had way too much to drink on the day. In regards to Russia 2018 and English hooligans, to quote a well known and respected hooligans, "with all the measures in place today, you won't get nowhere near the place." These are NOT weak excuses for a no-show in Russia this summer, the above are stone cold facts.

Man to man top firms from my knowledge. Boro, Newcastle, Millwall, West Ham, Cardiff, Burnley. Depends a bit on the decade. Yeah, there are other teams and firms with the big mobs but that is about numbers.

Yeah, he right in everything he says, except the part when he says that the British firms are still the most feared abroad. I think the russians have now taken our place in that respect.
@vjenkins6815 Жыл бұрын
Indeed. England may or may not have created football hooliganism, but most definitely glamorized it. It was designer violence, wasn't it? A head kicking with a bit of panache and style. On the other hand, the Russians mutated it. They saw football hooliganism and did away with the violent, cheeky punch up. They injected it with steroids...and rabies. It went from being a violent comedy to being a horror movie.
