Javelin Trackdays Sprint Series - Mallory Park R6 - USBsport Peugeot 106 17/09/2023

Mallory Park was the scene of Round 6 of the 2023 Javelin Sprint Championship!
After three back-to-back wins and a strong performance at the Quick60 event (also hosted at Mallory Park), confidence was high heading back to the charming Leicestershire circuit.
With cool, dry conditions in the morning and reference points established from only four weeks prior, we quickly got into our groove and set a 1:32.91 on just our second timed run.
This event is new to the Javelin Sprintdays calendar and some teething problems (from both organisers and competitors!) led to a shortened day with only four timed runs each.
Track limit enforcement incremented up a notch for run three (our time was deleted), and then rain came for run four meaning our second timed run remained our fastest overall.
Fortunately, this was good enough to claim the J13 class win by more than 8.4 seconds, and our fifth class win of 2023!
This win gives us a perfect Championship score of 125 points, having already mathematically clinched the 2023 class championship at the previous round.
We're excited to be back at Cadwell Park for the season finale in October!

Great fun looking at buying a track spec 106 GTI, but not sure this or a megane r26 I had before. What engine mods?

Hi there. Thanks for your comment. The engine is extensively modified with custom cams, forged internals etc. but to be honest, you needn't spend a fortune to get to a very reasonable power level.
