if you use fences instead of wood plates on the bottom to make the base float you will not need to duck to get between them and I believe it works like that with iron bars that are not centered as well. Also, if you line the inside wall of the drop hole with fences/plates you will get the same result as what you did with the wedges but less materials used (a drawbridge can also be used if done correctly like in the newer vid you made but its not as cheap).

Awesome build, reminds me of the old A16 fall traps. How were you doing the mass clear of blocks to create the pit, I couldn't quite follow? I do wonder why anyone would want to basically ignore the horde though - as fun as POIs are, horde night is what I look forward to! But I'm a GnaMod fan so there we go, everyone has their own way of playing and you've provided a solution. Can I suggest caling this base "The Swiss Cheese Hole" - the player remains neutral and just lets the zombies kill themselves by jumping into a hole, which is clearly a cheesey tactic :D

Jawoodoe, about the water base, I've done some math. It takes 500 bocks to build. You can manage to build the base in 3 days . it takes 3000 woods or 17 tresses of 1200 Heath each one. 2 days farm the wood, one build the base.

@@JaWoodle actually I've been wrong. It took me just 1 and 1/2 days. You can farm at night as well. At the end of the day 3 I had my base done . also I managed myself to loot a workshop store and a little house too. All in 3 days. Your base design is incredible! Work a bit for 1 hour and you won't need to ever worry about your base again .maybe just tier up with some metal in time. Thank you jawoodle!

You could probably add some electric fence trap to the pit and increase the time it takes for the zombies to do one round, while adding damage. Some saw-traps in the tunnel going up might help a lot too. Fewer rounds for them to die means more zombies that could be taken on by the contraption at the same time.

I have made blenders before, with blade traps on the fall down. But with this, it doesn’t matter. I’m AFK-ing so if the zombies die or live it makes no difference as along as I don’t have to fight them

I think there's a key that will let you move the camera instead of yourself around. Easier than moving your character after fixing the camera, and you get to move the camera elsewhere as you observe what happens.

A couple of thoughts: You could build the first two layers out of thinner things, like siding, or barbed wire(Which also has the benefit of slowing them if you want to build an exp version of the base) then build on top. A blade pit might be better than a fall pit for radiated hordes. Maybe build a base where the zombies fall multiple times in one trip and reset quickly. My idea for this is to start in the air, make them climb to reach you, then fall 25 blocks to a platform, fall off that one 25 blocks to another one, and if there is room between skybox and bed rock one more time, then climb all the way back up.

This reminds me of my minecraft days. Every base I made had a monster mashing dropping or drowning or lava machine in it. Now if there was a way to have a fox hole in the bottom of that trap where the zombies still had to fall down and you shoot them a couple times it would drastically save on ammo for EXP farming.

Btw for the ramp you could use wood stairs to make the zombies run up faster even with broken legs and bring down the kill time of rad zomzoms. Also u could try to put wood plates along the pitfall walls to make yhe zombies see them as full blocks under your actuall position and try to run to them.

Metal sheets work better than plates for this. In A16 zombies wouldn't even walk between offset plates like this, but they would sheets. You can still make them early game by scrapping iron ore in your bag.

And it can barely run 7D2D at low settings. Maybe I should trim that old computers imaginary grey beard that it doesn't actually have, except for a joking imaginary reference to its age. I wouldn't be able to handle the game an a support AI. I am pretty sure it would be a bad idea to install Google Deep mind on it. GD would probably make my second computer euthanize itself and then I would have reason to be pissed with Google.

I can barely run recording software on my main computer as well when playing any game. I did eventually get an Elgato HD60 S and have occasionally recorded video's using my second computer. I don't have much confidence in managing a KZbin or any channel on my own though. I am surprised by how many people on gofundme.com are willing to donate money to people who wanna get a new computer. Caught between disbelief and a concern about not honoring any money received by way of making good use of any new PC to actually use it as an effective tool for income, so for myself I have been reluctant to start a gofundme campaign. I would want to be able to grantee that I could use it effectively for the purpose of some kind of job, even if it is a content creator and right now I just don't feel that confident. YOU on the other hand might be able too pull it off! You already got a following on KZbin.

I love how the devs are they to patch out things players are finding and trying to make it harder but yet guys like you just keep finding interesting exploits in the AI pathing systems. How exactly is it in a real world situation a human infected with a virus that destroys your body gives you super human powers anyway? I assume some mechanical nano-virus that changes them. It's the only explanation on how they manage to accumulate that much metal in their fists. Otherwise they couldn't punch through concrete. I don't think any biological agent could do that. you need nano-bots.

Run away super soldier serum is the only logical explanation I can think of. Hyper aggression, enhanced strength, speed and endurance. I like to think the red fog of seventh day is the serum dispersal in question, and everyone but players and NPCs had improper 'evolution' as you really can't call the others zombies at this point aside from those that have clearly lethal wounds.

I normally use this type of design on the 1º or 2º horde, I got to a gas station or something similar out of concrete and make a mini house on the roof and below the mini house I make a window to shoot, this will work ok but after day 21 things can get nasty and this setup will not work. on my design the zombies stay stupid below me but some will hit stuff if they can reach it Your design is great but breaks the immersion

Oh, after see your video I got a idea ... Use the same design but make some columns like 20 blocks from the center so that it looks better ( more immersion ), 20 block will be good distance so that they don't start hitting stuff.
