Julie - do you have a tutorial for the Boomerang design? I've been looking everywhere...it's my favorite. Thanks.
@jaybirdquilts3 жыл бұрын
No specifically for Boomerang but the Jawbreaker cutting and piecing would be the most similar to teach many of the same skills used to make Boomerang.

Where is a link to where to buy this ruler?
@jaybirdquilts Жыл бұрын
Thanks for asking. We don't sell them directly. It's best to get one from a local or independent quilt shop. You can get one here: www.pinkdoorfabrics.com/collections/notions/products/preorder-hex-n-more-jaybird-quilts-acrylic-template

Afshan Yunus So we can fold the 4 1-2 strip in half and cut 2 - 1/2 hexagons at a time?

Please, I have misplaced the piecing directions for the pattern that was included with my purchase of the hexagon template called broken Candy Dish. Is there someplace I can get a copy of that pattern without buying another template?

Julie, I love your video, would like a tad of a smile, but I am sure you were nervous, Congrats on your success and yes I now own my own rulers and will buy some patterns. I like that its so new, that its great for a swap partner and I love everyone of those shapes, I use them alot in sewing. I cant read a pattern but I can learn a ruler now, because I had no idea how to use them. Any QAL 's planned to help us beginners? Thank you, your friend at Simplesew..

As a left handed quilter, I found the directions for cutting the triangles disappointing. Turning over the directions only adds confusion and doesn't give clarity. I think having a left handed person demonstrating the proper cutting of the triangles a better solution. Additionally, while I know that roughly 10% of the population is left handed, we would benefit from left handed rulers as well. Just a thought.

Many companies create left handed rulers for standard squares and rectangles. Unfortunately, it is not feasible for most specialty rulers. I’m sorry you are struggling. I work with left handed tester, have reviewed things with them, and present information based on their suggestions.
