de reverb and delay?
@MusicProducersBlog2 ай бұрын
That's easy; you can figure that out by yourself. You can also check out my previous video about iZotope Aurora, which should help with getting the perfect reverb sound. All the best.

6:02 that isn't parallel compression
@MusicProducersBlog2 ай бұрын
I've heard Jaycen say it's parallel compression a couple of times. Maybe he's wrong and you're right.
@marico.artistАй бұрын
@@MusicProducersBlog No, you must have heard it wrong. It's not parallel compression if it's not parallel. Parallel compression involves a secondary signal from another bus with heavy compression blended into the main bus.
@stupidslap13 күн бұрын
@@marico.artist definitely not parallel compression, unless compress slider in CLA VOX has a hidden parallel processing function its using.

dang way more complex than my; Proq3, soothe2, LA2A, or fairchild, decapitator, proq3. then bus the vocals with farchild, and fx bus with proR2

Nah, it's not compex. Every plugin serves a good purpose. Thanks for the comment ☺

@@Illiyinmusic why you using 8 plugins to treat a vocal?
@Platnumbaby2 ай бұрын
This is ridiculous, I can get all that with one eq and one compressor and limiter. if you have to do all this, means the recording was not good.
@MusicProducersBlog2 ай бұрын
That's not true. It's all about transparency; nothing to do with bad recordings. The biggest beginner mistake is overworking one plugin (or three in your case); you'll never get a transparent sound with that approach. Plugins sound horrible when you overwork them. Hence, we use multiple plugins to achieve a particular result.
@Platnumbaby2 ай бұрын
@ did you remove my response. Transparency starts with the recording. I been mixing for 32 years and never use more than 3 plugins in a vocal. I am using analog gear and maybe that’s why they are using so many plugins because the vocal sound like trash. It’s sad that young people are buying into this over processing technique. Get a good vocalist and vocal chain. It will make your work flow easy. It’s garbage; really every insert is crazy.

Everything just has its own sound and colors the vocals differently. I’m sure you can do all these in fewer plug ins but the sound or color you won’t get. It doesn’t make it bad that it’s too many but there are many ways to mix music. I’ve seen people use 3 different eqs simply for the tonality each one gives. Do you need 3 eqs? No, but those 3 different eqs may color the sound in a way you like. The point of engineering is to make it sound good or better. Sometimes it takes a little more sometimes a little less.
