Catching BIG Fussy Walleye In Clear Water

What started as a video intended in showing you how I break down water for a Walleye tournament, ended up with me trying to figure out the best way to catch these BIG fussy Walleye I was marking underneath my boat. With a little bit of patience we got them dialled in! Hoping for 5 big bites in the next video when we got head to head in a Walleye Fishing showdown against Clayton Schick.

Next time your in that type of situation try this. When the fish is at your bait bang the bottom of the boat. One quick bang. This often will make the walleye bit. No kidding!

Jay: Have you ever used a 3 way rig for walleye? Google it if you don't know what it is. It's very old school walleye rigging but it works. You can use live bait or put a Rapala minnow lure on it. Clay should be worried after seeing this one. Now to watch his pre-fish to see how the competition is going to go.

Honestly I would love to move to northern Ontario. I am an arborist so there is lots of work there for me. But trying to convince my wife is a little difficult. We live in a little town near Calgary called Three Hills. But my wife does not like the drive to Kenora from Calgary, neither do I but honestly northern Ontario is easily as pretty as many parts of British Columbia. Plus the fishing is more my style!! Question for you Jay, if I may? You moved to Kenora from Manitoba, correct? What were some of the hurdles when switching provinces? Thanks buddy I love watching you fish. I learn so much. I do not know anybody who targets walleyes at the manitou. Lakers, smallies, and muskies. 28”, 28”, 29.5” and 30.5”. Goes to show what a fishery it is. Does the staff there point you in the right direction or do you find all those spots on your own?
