If someone is willing to pay for a premium and unique coffee experience, I’d highly recommend Substance Cafe near Sentier. I moved to Paris in 2008, along with my expat friends we hated coffee in Paris. Fast word today, what a difference. Parisians taste for coffee were towards bitter. They didn’t know any better. A lot of the changes were influenced by the Italians and also whether you like them or not, Starbucks. Thank Buddha we no longer have to schlepp coffee from US or Italy.
