@@SVTsupercharged It's not supposed to be. 8 ROPs vs 64, 144 TMUs vs 44 and 2304 (Polaris) shaders vs. 704 (Vega), the only advantage Vega 11 has is a much higher boost clock (1300MHz vs. 911MHz). Even overclocked, it would only have half the compute performance of the PS4 Pro. The PS4 offers a more reasonable comparison, in that it's essentially just under half of what a PS4 Pro can offer, but Vega 11 would have to rely on overclocking to really come close (but it should beat the Xbox One S). TL;DR - PS4 performs a little slower than an RX 560, PS4 Pro a little slower than an RX 570, and Xbox One X a little slower than an RX 590. Vega 11 should be around RX 550 performance.

@BeerBellyDK5 жыл бұрын
They almost certainly will. I'm expecting 1050 Ti performance, maybe even somewhere near 1060. They've already done this for Intel in their i think Hades Canyon NUC. Intel CPU, but onboard AMD Vega GPU, that performs pretty close to the 1060. I can't WAIT to see what sort of opportunities that sort of power in an all in one APU, will enable us to do! The Small Form Factor scene and modding community is going to get a whole new level of crazy!
@SomeDudeQC5 жыл бұрын
@@BeerBellyDK I'm not expecting 1050ti performance. They'll be keeping those types of gains for consoles.
@Davidzz1375 жыл бұрын
@@BeerBellyDK hold on man, 1060 on a APU seems far from reality, yeah maybe a little bit more than a 1050. The GPU market would drastically change if you were right.
@tactition7775 жыл бұрын
@@Davidzz137 honestly from what we have seen from the radeon 7 (when it works) that they can push the vega architecture a little further with the 7 nm production. Since the 7 has four less processing cores then the vega 64 but can score higher. This of course does not take into account what navi could bring to the table. As that will probably be the new RX 600 series or more likely call the RX 700 since they want to milk as much marketing as they can out of the whole 7 thing. This series now has to take on the 1660ti so see the RX 660 or 760 or what ever they calling it going blow for blow in the 270-300 dollar range.
@BeerBellyDK5 жыл бұрын
@@Davidzz137 But they've already done it, as i said. Check out that Hades Canyon NUC. The one key difference, is that the APU on that one, seems to also come with an integrated memory chip, which there would not be room for, on an AM4 package. That could obviously mean a difference in performance, as dedicated memory for GPU's can be quite a lot faster than system memory. And yes, such an APU definitely would change the landscape. As i said, it would open up huge opportunities for SFF builders and modders, which sort of applies to me. Change is not always a bad thing. :)

@johnb65205 жыл бұрын
@@Neiva71 your first statement isn't really true. CPU's can be considerably overclocked very easily with very noticable gains in performance. Especially with an upgraded cooling solution. Memory needs to be "overclocked" to hit its rated speed. It will run under its rated speed from first post until you enable an xmp to overclock to its rated speed or beyond if it will. May need to up your voltage. Not sure if all memory is this way but from what I've seen, yes. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. And yes GPU overclocks are pretty easy with afterburner. If you want to max out performance it will take a bit of time to make sure everything is stable.

Same, as AMD APU have ALWAYS benefited from the fastest RAM you can throw at them both on desktop, and laptop. I've personally seen as much as 15 FPS increase in GTA IV on an older AMD 5800K APU turbo clocked at 4.2Ghz on all cores just having 16GB of DDR3 1866Mhz RAM OC'd to 2133Mhz, and letting the system use the maximum allowed 2GB of the RAM as GPU RAM.

Jay did on old video with an AMD APU which proved that as well. I dont know why he rushed this video to avoid tuning the ram, and given he hasn't touched the most critical timings for speed and additional bandwidth.. he's left a lot of performance on the table I think.

I don't get why reviewers always leave motion blur on, you're rendering a nice image and then smearing Vaseline all over it when you turn, which hurts your fps even more. I automatically turn it off in any game, if you're playing any online shooter you should too. It takes away too many frames and visually puts you at a disadvantage from the blur.

This is actually quite funny since I have an 4770k and had to wait a few days for a new gpu (sold the old one) and I tried to run some games on it... It was a HORRENDOUS experience to say the least. Not even CSGO would properly run at 1080p with completely minimum graphics (even 720p was not pleasant at all, with around 40 fps and really bad frametimes). The only 3D game I got to properly run out of the ones I play was Mount & Blade Warband and I was even able to play some battles with up to 400 men on the field with stable 30+ fps on lowest settings 1440p, which was quite impressive! Once there were less enemies on the field, it maintained 60 fps throughout. Would definitely want to see how Intel's modern integrated graphics stacks up against AMD's one :D

Jay did a video on this, he took the latest xbox specs and tried to put together a list of comparable hardware to build with, his list came out to being twice the price of the xbox. It really showed the value you're getting with platforms these days. The major problem with gaming on platforms is that they can't upgrade or modify their system to their needs, they can't just toss in a better GPU or CPU or add a bit more RAM to stay current with all of the latest games. This is the major reason I will never own a console, that and I want to do more with my machine than just games or multimedia.
