I loved the scene but it was a disservice to kill off Danny, in the novel, he goes back to work at the hospice, has been sober for 15 years, and continues to use his “shine” to comfort the dying elderly and show then memories of their childhoods/loved ones, as well as assure them that “we do not end”, allowing them to die in peace, hence the title “Doctor (Doc) Sleep”

the only thing I did not really care for was the stand in for Jack at the end. Just no impact for me. The actress that did Shelley's part fucking nailed it, how she could not over act the impression of Shelley's overacting was mindblowing ha. I don't know I just feel that with the massive improvement in deaging tech I was hoping they would get Nicholson back at least for the voice aspect and do some tricks not to make him look as he does now. No insult to that actor though but he just could never recapture Jack's presence.
