Well I think they made a bold move to call it solely as Stephen King's Doctor Sleep instead of The Shining:Chapter Two. Add that to a minimal marketing, it's a miracle they could broke the box office. But it's more rewarding for true fans...

I disagree. Like does anyone really give a shit if its shot on 35mm or digital? Does anyone really care if this or that was done on CGI or with practical effects? These are literally the only questions he asks interview after interview. It's a very self-indulgent form of interviewing of asking questions that are so esoteric its more to satisfy his own nerdy curiosity. And the dorky over excitement with the talent is starting to feel manipulative.
@ProffessorLazarus5 жыл бұрын
@@TheLonesomeChef Would you prefer that he asked the same dull questions that nearly every other interviewer asks? Compare his interviews with any other press junkets for the same film and you'll see that the actors/directors are visibly enthralled by his questions. Remember that the people he interviews are film enthusiasts themselves and that 90% of the people watching these videos are film enthusiasts too, so you can't seriously think that no-one cares about how a film is shot.

TheLonesomeChef bull. I can look at any one of the other 300 interviews for this film to get the answers to the same old same old questions. Kevin asks genuinely unique questions which I find super admirable. Plus, his passion about film is radiating, which is unique in interviewers now of days.

Not taking away from Rebecca and Ewan but my god- Jacob came in for a small cameo on his birthday, with no direction, and shocked everyone with his incredible performance. Flanagan said "I'm going to get out of Jacob's way" because he worked with him before, saw Room, and knew he was dealing with an all-time great. When accomplished actors are moved to the point of tears and struggling to stay in character in the presence of a child prodigy, you know that he is incredibly special. Rebecca, you did a great job of portraying Rose! Later in the film when her character’s goons were being destroyed, I smiled, and I smiled big. I hoped that Rose was feeling every bit of the terror she inflicted on Bradley. I’m curious though, did Rebecca ad-lib “Shhhh! It’s okay” when the boy was crying and screaming? I’m not trying to self-promote, but if a child asked me “Are you going to hurt me?” I would reply “No! Absolutely not”, and I would help them up, because I would rather die than hurt a kid.
