Since piglins can open doors, I’d recommend using an iron door for the entrance so you don’t die while AFK’ing.

This farm works great! I made a few alterations and it still works well. I made the farm 2 blocks larger than the tutorial, I made the hole that the magma cubes fall into a 5x5 whole instead of the 3x3, and used 25 powdered snow to fill in the where the snow needs to go. Keep coming with the tutorials they’re amazing!!

To anyone having issues with the powdered snow melting. It's endermen, if they are nearby and fall into lava they will try to teleport to the nearest safe area, in this case the spawn chamber then once they fall into the kill chamber if they are still on fire they will melt the snow. The solution is to cover up any nearby lava

Everything I tried, including covering all the lava, wasn't working. HOWEVER, if you put carpet on the floor where the frogs are, it seems to be working. I have been standing here for awhile testing it and no sign of trouble. The froglights are still being picked up and the carpets don't burn.

You can use gravity blocks to fill in lava as well (sand / gravel). A fire resistance potion in your hot bar is a great idea

Espically when getting netherite, it's really anoying when you are mining and get lit on fire. Sometimes if you are fast enough you can get rid of the lava before it gets you but, those times you don't mmm anoying.

Works great just started it not even 5 minutes and I already almost have a half a stack of each kind I did also go through the trouble of bringing all three kinds of frogs there which was insane but worth it👍 I forgot to mention I made all the walls two blocks thick

Just built this, and it’s working GREAT as of 8/15/23! I had to actually expand the collection system (nothing fancy, just a hopper going down into another double chest) because it was so productive.

I'm going to build this in normal survival difficulty without cheats of any kind. Edit: I have successfully found the bastion with the spawner after a long time Edit 2: I have successfully created the main box while constantly being harassed by magma cubes and i hate them more than ever. Edit 3: I have successfully created a 12000 meter long tunnel from the bastion to my nether hub and found over a stack of ancient debris at the cost of my sanity. Edit 4: I have successfully gotten the 3 frog variants and painstakingly brought them to the grinder. Edit 5: Finished the grinder and got it ready for operation only to find that one of the frogs glitch despawned. Edit 6: Got another frog from the overworld and the grinder is now fully operational. :) Edit 7: I set up an iron golem with the platform a block lower so i don't have to stand there and it works well.

@@Twi66e Yeah i did it on normal mode and it was a real pain. I have really good armor though, and i set up a beacon with resist 2, but regen might have worked better. I think a lot of people don't know beacons can go through the bedrock roof.

@@deepexplorer0079 The magma cubes go after the iron golem so I don't have to stand there. if you didn't know, you can spawn an iron golem by putting 4 iron blocks in a T shape and putting a carved pumpkin on top.

@Deep explorer007 if you put an iron golem above either a spawner or in a basalt delta the iron golem counts as an aggressive mob to the magma cubes so they'll try and attack it. I set mine up in a basalt delta and dug a giant hole and put the golem above it. So when the cubes see it they try and attack it and jump in the hole where there's powder snow waiting for them

Works great and gets a lot of froglights very quickly, but I also have a few suggestions. I suggest adding a few layers to the outer wall, as magma cubes continue to spawn outside of the box instead of only the inside. Because of this, after a few minutes of using the farm, you will have to leave the farm and kill the other magma cubes outside the farm. Other than that, great farm!

For anybody struggling on survival with no way of turning on peaceful mode. Build a 9x9 platform level with the spawner (spawner in the middle) Then on top of that build a 7x7 platform with the spawner being the middle block again 🤙

Same here on xbox bedrock. Sad doing the work to get some 21 frogs, three different kinds, only to have then disappear after about 2 hours. Powdered snow is still there so idk what happened. Name tagged frogs as well

Yep, too many magma cubes get into the killing chamber and glitch the frogs out. Make the lowest part of the killing chamber (the space in which your frogs are) 5x5. This will give them more space, This means you also need to extend the minecart system or just replace the floor with hoppers.

just some info for anyone making this farm, you will get a lot more frog light than magma cream. you get like insane amounts of frog light. I got like thirty stacks in only an hour. it's a very efficient farm if what you are really needing is frog light. but if you want more magma cream, it's probably best to create a separate magma cream farm at a different location. it does generate a good amount of magma cream (six stacks in an hour) but a farm dedicated to magma cream would probably be faster.

How much magma cream would you really need though? Magma blocks are common enough that you probably don't even need to farm them, and even a stack of magma cream lasts quite a long time when it comes to brewing potions.

You can make a farm in a basalt biome that works great. I found it far easier than finding a bastion. My portal landed me in the biome so it was really easy

If your frogs die its because they freeze to death in the powdered snow so dig them 1 deeper and put 5 glass in a pattern in the 3x3 hole so the small magma can fall where the frogs are

Before you start building this, clear EVERY bit of lava underneath where the farm will be, and 2 wide border around the whole thing. It's 11×11 total. Surprise lava isn't fun 😂

This farm works great. Problem is when using the water bucket method to transport the Orange and Green frogs, they immediately turn white. Any suggestions on how to fix this?

You can only autospawn white frogs. The biome determines the color. The brown and green frogs you have to bring in grown.

How do the frogs not jump out? I built one with 9 snow, after a burning enderman broke 1 snow all the frogs started jumping out. Do the frogs stay in the kill chamber with only 1 snow in the middle?

Thats the whole point in digging down that far. Frogs can only jump about 3 blocks high so if you build it 6 blocks deep they shouldn't be able to jump out

This works great! I built it in hard mode and after using 6 or 7 totems and having to mend my armor 3 times( thankfully I have built JC’s raid farm and XP farm) I built the ceiling one block lower and that stopped the magma cubes from spawning and once I finished everything else I fixed the ceiling. Farm works great but I had a mob cramming problem which killed the frogs. I put a 3x3 layer of cobweb above the powdered snow and so far there has been no mob cramming. Hope this helps anyone

​@@gabewhitney6391 Try lowering the difficulty before you AFK, as lower difficulties will have a better chance to spawn smaller magma cubes versus larger ones that break into 4 entities. Having a few more frogs may help eliminate cubes faster as well, but not sure

To stem the constant barrage of magma cubes I did this before starting the actual farm build: 1) make an easily accessible escape tunnel (if the cubes become too much, run down it and they will despawn) 2) fill in all the lava in the spawner room then slab it all 3) build the initial 10x10 box as described 4) build a bottom slab roof a few blocks above the box to prevent ghasts and skeletons from harassing you 5) build the farm in relative peace PS: Falling in the pit with a bunch of cubes in there was deadly. I couldn't stack myself out cause of the constant knockback. Be warned.

Playing mc on mobile, I would say this is the second hardest farm yet ( maybe )other than enderman farm cuz u cant use elytra like in pc . I need to find a bastion with spawner, the thing is my portal is up high like still on a platform but around it if want to go down it is lava, so I have to make brigde and that is also abit far from my portal, the only good thing is that it spawn near fortress so ig I could make fire resistance potion😂

You can prevent magma cube spawning by building around a 7x7 above and on the layer of spawner and break when your farm is ready. Use non transparent blocks and be careful not to break the spawner.
