It would be interesting to see a video from a normal viewing position inside the car while driving towards a low Sun. When I tried it a good while ago, I got a whole lot of rainbows and streaks that made it hard to see. It was difficult enough to see because of the low Sun, but the Rain X made it much worse. Just my experience.

After you apply the Rainx to the glass you need to spend you time to properly buff it off the glass. It might take a few different clean rags. You do a small section of the glass, flipping the rag to expose clean cloth to properly clean the glass. If this is not done properly, you will see streaks or like a hazy film from the rainx. This would definitely make it hard to see through the glass especially when the sun is shinning on the windshield. I have been using rainx since 1999 and I cant drive in the rain without it. Great question and when the applied and buffed properly, you will not see rainbow, film/streaks on the glass. thanks for watching the video.

Heck yeah. I put it on all glass serfaces. Works on house windows and shower doors too!

Been using this stuff this summer. Amazing visibility but does it build up and need to be stripped off?

No it does not ever build up. It will just slowly wear out and you and need to be reapplied. Thanks for watching.
