Great vid. Hey question on urs how was the side port gasket? If bad what did u use?? Mine is gone and not sure what to use.

I think you are talking about the intake and exhaust manifold gasket, Mine was all messed up or gone, I can't remember. Either way you can pick one up from any auto parts store, they aren't expensive or hard to find.

consultation, changing the injectors of 4 holes and the throat is 62 mm improves fuel consumption, my jeep consumes as v8
@JeepSheepTV5 жыл бұрын
It's possible, those mods are designed to reduce restriction and provide a better burn. Usually that means better mileage but the change will be small. Tire size is probably the biggest factor.

Do the studs go on the ends of the exhaust manifold? I didn’t pay enough attention while removing and now I’ve got 2 studs and 5 bolts
@JeepSheepTV2 жыл бұрын
If I remember correctly, yes the studs go on the ends. The forward most hole and the rearmost hole.

Thanks for the video. Question. The exhaust manifold bolts that connect to the exhaust flange. Are they bolts or studs? 95 YJ parts list does not list the bolts/studs P/N. Mine were so rusted I had to cut them off to remove the front exhaust pipe but now I don't know if these are bolts or studs. Knowing would determine how I proceed to try to get them out of the manifold.

If I remember correctly they are studs in the manifold. I dropped a header in after this video so I haven't seen the manifold in a while!

Thanks for the reply. It seems like a majority of people are saying they are studs. The question remains, do I try an air hammer to get the "studs" out or should I play it safe and drill them out in case they're screws. The last thing I want to do is have to remove and replace the exhaust manifold. Every time I take a nut or bolt off this Jeep it turns into a complete cluster F of a project! I do want to thank you for your videos. They have help me out a lot with this old rusty, abused, neglected Jeep. Just remember folks. Cheap Jeeps usually end up being timing consuming expensive projects!

@@Geonious hmmm you are making me want to dig that old manifold out of the scrap pile and try this out. Maybe make a video in the process...

Dude is your thumb like double jointed cuz it's freaking me out I couldn't even pay attention to the video next time we're gloves or something or don't put the thumb in the video oh by the way I did give your video two thumbs up that looks like a total pain in the ass job you did pretty good just next time leave the thumb out
@351cleavland3 жыл бұрын
Thumb-joint phobia is more common than you think. It usually stems from trauma as a child seeing scary hitchhikers with unusally large knuckles. For most, 1 in 50 is affected. For those who work on engines with same side intake/exhaust manifolds that number makes 1 in 7 who have been traumatized.

Not a u joint! Its a swivel !! Extender?? Extension... Are you the best to be doing a tutorial?????
