@@SovietCaptain03 Yes but they have loads of this platform left over and the new group of affordable ev's with 70kWh+ batteries are already starting to show up so they have to get as many of these gone as they can as soon as possible. Thats why there are so many of them with different bodies on top.

Idk about that. The 1000km challenge is necessary, just look how the BZ4X failed with insane throttling. Some cars overheat unexpectedly, some charge ports overheat as well. The 1000km shows real world trip consistency.

​@@theproffessional9 The platform (battery, motor, cooling system, cabling) is exactly the same though, just with a different, more boxy car built around it. I agree that estimating is good enough here and likely to be quite accurate. Same would go for the other Stellantis cars with the same guts. Including them in the spreadsheet would be nice, although they have to be very clearly marked. I'd maybe put them into a whole separate section.

@@TheStopwatchGod Yep, it's called the law of supply and demand. In the US there is not enough demand for smaller cars, hence not much supply either. Avenger is in the B-segment, tiny by US standards but the top selling segment in Europe. In the US the market share is a pitiful low single digit percentage. Ford alone has traditionally sold half a million B-segment cars per year in Europe and don't even have a B-segment model for sale in the US.

@@katiecannon8186 It isn;t going to the US because 50kWh in a box makes it a city car only over there. It couldn't get to tmost trails let alone run them and go home. Its a Peugeot/Citroen city car platform with Jeep badges - not really an offroader or anything worth looking at. Much better cars are out there and even better ones have been announced to be coming over the next few months.

Just a note, you will get charging data on the dashboard, but only if the car is powered off. Charging with the car on might throw errors during the OBC handshake, the manual seems to suggest to avoid it.

You should absolutely try the Fiat 600e, has same powertrain but might have better aerodynamics so maybe could achieve a better range at 120km/h!

Take a look at it and the others and tell me it has "significantly" more. It has more but only an inch or two. If thats significant then you never needed a Jeep in the first place.

@@siraff4461 ok, its not an Unimog but i drive the Peugeot 208e and if you look from the outside, it seems to have normal ground clearance but if you look "deeper" the battery pack is hanging partialy under the car, painted black , not to be seen. so it looks like 7in it is in fact around 5 in! so yes if the Avenger has really more than 8in, this may not much compared to a brabus 800 adventure xlp, but to the peugeot its 40% more, which may be enough for most "normal" applications (dirt roads etc)

@@siraff4461 That's a good point - maybe they will use a good LFP cell like the byd blade battery. They wouldn't even need to do much of anything for protection for that... That being said even NCA batteries are pretty tough and can handle low speed impacts. The issues seem to be with high speed penetration collisions over 50 mph with pouch cells... Potted 2170 cells seem to be much more resistant to that sort of thing. Of course we never really armored our gas tanks and those are a lot more dangerous...

basic better aerodynamics solutions makes interior space cramped especially in the back seat. this is already a 4 meter city car (lenbght of a vw polo). if you slope down the roof to the back aerodynamics would improve but it would be very bad for passenger comfort and boot space. they need lighter cars, lighter but more energy dense batteries. you will get a better range if the same car is less than 1.3 tonnes. it's 1.66 tonnes right now.

I drive my Jeep Avenger at Highway-Speed (120km/h, 15°C, soft hills, dry, no wind) with 17 to 23kWh/100km avg. 21kWh/100km. Only a view mods on aerodynamics (Tape/Strips in the front to cover the 'holes' and the aluwheels 18" 'holes' *like aerowheels with tape. That helps a lot, doesn't look nice, but reduces consumtion at highways by min. 5% up to 7%/100km. Regards, Tom

Really not a fan of the dash being the same colour as the exterior. Jeep thing maybe? Totally agreed on the autosteer cancellation, gently slowing to a stop with the hazards on while keeping the lane would be so much more appropriate. My classic Ioniq is the same way, and it's such a fail.

The full system is only for the petrol variants(the subwoofer is where the battery pack resides), electric only gets the base or intermediate(longitude or higher) speaker set. Tested vehicle is a summit so intermediate speaker set.
