Jeep YJ 2 1/2 inch Skyjacker Suspension Lift Installation

Looks outstanding ! I was surprised at the lack of rust when you started.

I had performed the frame off restoration last year but I did not replace the springs at that time because I am a cheap ass. I had rather do it later on when it is much harder to get to. I had cleaned everything and removed rust and re painted when I did the frame off.

Bought the same kit only from rough county they have all bushings in leaf springs and U bolts have nuts and washers in kit and all 4 shocks.

I am in the course of putting this kit on my cj5. The front is in and looks like it corrected the castor angle issue I had from a previous shackle lift. I gained an inch as well, as my old leaf springs were shot and ran flat.

Jeep looks really good. I have two wranglers and have 6" spring lifts on them. somtimes wish one of them was just a 2" inch. Also do you still do the metal trussed buildings? If so can you send me a link to the web site please?

There is no web site. I designed this building myself using metal trusses that I purchased used from a chicken house that was used for commercial growers. Just started with the size of the trusses and worked backwards from there. My shop is 36 feet wide by 45 feet long. Thanks for your comment

I just finished installing my 2.5 inch skyjacker suspension lift with black max shocks. My rear drive shaft is at a steep angle. 40 degrees maybe. What does yours look like, and did you have to install shims or a yoke eliminator?? Thanks in advance!

Neither, I lowered my transmission 1 1/2 inches. Super easy to do. Correct geometry. Never had a problem with the undercarriage since the build.

Have you had any trouble with it denting your shocks? I have this kit on my 1990 YJ and it dents my shocks at full lock full compression.

I have not had this problem but I dont do extreme stuff with it either

How is the ride quality with the skyjackers? Also, what degree are the wedges? The ones that angle your drift shaft.

Its rough but not as rough as some lifted jeeps that I have ridden in. I am not sure of this wedge angle but Skyjacker should have that info on the package information but not sure.

You may need a different length driveshaft. I had to order a little longer shaft
