I will watch this because I just got home. Update: I did watch it. Was very tired and fell asleep on some of it but woke up & stayed until the end. I learned to preach that way since I was 15 years old. Of course we have to give the reason why the gospel is called Good News. I try to be careful not to be found condemning other servants of the Lord though. Did Paul not speak against that in Romans 14? Yet he was adamant to confirm others faith into right believing. Joel did say that homosexuality is not Biblical. Just like adultery, fornication and murder. But that he believed in not standing in the way of delivering the gospel that they may believe and then change as the holy Spirit would guide them to change by exposing The Truth. Now I would not go to a gay wedding. I can't celebrate a sin. WE ARE THE SALT OF THIS WORLD. I LET THE HOLY SPIRIT GUIDE me on many other matters... not just not going to a gay wedding. God bless his people and guide all of us to Life, Truth, his blessings, and away from sin and it's disastrous consequences.

We are commanded by Messiah that, “...repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.” (Luke 24:47). In other words, we are supposed to preach the gospel that came out of Jerusalem and not preach the gospel that came out of Antioch, or Rome, or England, or New York, or Chicago, etc. By the time the gospel got to Antioch it had already been perverted as we read, “...And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch.” (Acts 11:26). The problem with this is that YHWH spoke of a people called by His name (Deuteronomy 28:10; 2 Chronicles 7:14; Isaiah 43:6, 7; Daniel 9:19; Amos 9:12; Acts 15:17). YHWH did not choose the name “Christian” for Himself. The people of Antioch chose that name and all the so called main denominations of today embrace that name “Christian” for themselves. When Peter and Paul preached the gospel they quote the prophet Joel, “Whosoever shall call on the name of YHWH shall be saved.” (Joel 2:32; Acts 2:21; Rom. 10:13). The English word "Lord" is not a translation for the name YHWH but is a substitution. I ask you, how many of the church fathers and so called main denominations of today preach that gospel? None of them. Absolutely none! Paul makes it very clear that the end result of him preaching the gospel was that the people would call on the name YHWH. He says in (Rom. 10:14,15), The preachers are sent. They preach. The people hear. The people believe. The people call on the name YHWH (Rom. 10:13). I ask you, how many of the church fathers and so called main denominations of today preach that gospel? None of them. Absolutely none! It took only one generation after the death of Joshua for the children of Israel to forget the mighty works of YHWH which He had worked through Moses and Joshua and to began to serve the elohim of the heathen people around them (Judges 2:7-13). It took only one generation! The most important thing that I learned in life is about the mikvah for the bride of Christ. A mikvah is a pool of water used for immersion. It has been used for thousands of years in the Bible and it is still being used today by both Jews and Christians. However, Christian denominations have turned baptism into an initiation for lifetime membership into their particular denomination. However, most believers know that Christ is coming back for His bride. But I just found out last year that every Jewish bride immerses herself in a mikvah before her marriage ceremony. Therefore, the reason I am telling you and my family and friends about this is that the next time you are in a pool of water immerse yourself as a mikvah to be part of the Bride of Christ calling on the name of Yahweh (Jesus = Yahoshuah = Yahweh salvation) for the remission of sins. .... .... ....

Yes, Jesus did build His Church. And on the day of Pentecost the Holy Spirit gave that Church the full deposit of the faith. That is why the Bible says, "to earnestly contend for the faith that was once and for all delivered to the saints". Who are the saints? They were the Orthodox saints in the Greek Orthodox Church. Notice that this pastor stands up and reads the Bible. Big deal. Every heretic in the world has a Bible in his hand. Claiming you believe in the Bible gives you no superior epistemic claim. What you have to do is show that your beliefs are consistent with the faith that these Orthodox saints believed. The early church believed in a view of the Trinity that is not consistent with any modern sect in Protestantism. The early church had a very different understanding of salvation. They believed in a different Jesus than what Protestants teach. They practiced liturgical worship which was in continuity with the temple and synagogue worship found in the Old Testament. The Bible was not a canon for the first six centuries. What we call the Bible today was first used in lectionaries which were used in liturgical worship. The Bible was not seen as an academic book to be interpreted by scholastics who interpret it on the basis of enlightenment philosophy. Go read the Canons of Nicaea. You won't find any beliefs or ideas remotely consistent with Protestant claims. It is just patently dishonest for this pastor to use the word "church" in his sermon and to assume that his understanding of the church has any continuity with the church of the first thousand years of history. This is the sleight of hand that all heretics use. They use words in the Bible, but they assign a different meaning to those words. All heresies are rooted in the misuse of words and concepts. The words have already been defined by the testimony of the church in history. We didn't have to wait for Pastor Jeff to tell us the definition of those words 2000 years after Christ. Thank God.
