I am wanting to make a jelly roll rug but I think this will be a good place to start. Nice small bites to get used to it.

Question u use batting with the strips, can use use felt that's thin as that
@GmaDonnaJo5 жыл бұрын
I iron my strips in half first, which helps me fold them easier.

I do not sew my cording strip at all. I zig zag the cord (folded edge) to my rug. Is the method ok? Thank you

I wondered how you figure out if you need a walking foot. I have never used one

Anytime you're working with 3 or more layers a walking foot is extremely helpful!

When you get done with the fold could you iron the strip before you sew it then chain piece it? Or use a binding foot?
@QuiltAddictsAnonymous4 жыл бұрын
I'm not sure if it would fit through a binding foot. It might be to bulky with the batting in there. I would say give it a try and see if it works!

After I see the 1st 2 strips tog on the “open” edge, leaving the folded edge to the outsides,,,, wouldn’t u have to see the next strip of 2’s to the 1st on a open side to a folded side??? Or did I miss something in the instructions????

Sigh. Being Canadian, our exchange rate is not good... so I may need to wait until you folks get a better President, so the world is more confident in your economy (and therefore ours) and our currencies are more aligned, before I can shop American again. But I like what you've shown us here, and would love to be able to order my fabric from you, Stephanie. Great projects, great tutorial, thank you! ~Diana K.

could you please tell me what you are spritzing on, as I suppose that it is not clear water, and why you are using it. ? lilian DK,
@QuiltAddictsAnonymous4 жыл бұрын
This bottle is actually just clear water. We do not use water in our irons, so a little spritz of water can help if you have wonky fabric. A spray starch alternative (such as Best Press) can also be used if your fabric needs a bit more attention.

I am pretty sure her objective was to teach a project, not calm you. Try mediation, prayers, soothing music just to name a few things.
