I’m a chopped chicken person! I also keep the chicken separate from the dressing and mix it “fresh” each time I make a sandwich. I usually make my own mayonnaise and season it with all the flavoring agents, but if there’s celery, pecans or craisins or fresh fruit, I chop them and keep them separate, too. I don’t like the salad to get mushy - part of the fun for me is the CRUNCH when I bite into it! I’d prefer it on bread, but use the low carb wraps for everyday purposes. I enjoyed this, TFS. I do have questions about the sous vide - does it concern you that you are cooking food in heated plastic? I saw you did it in a pot this time - did you just not worry about a lid? Where do you find the times for cooking the food? Do you temp the meat before you pull it? I’ve been marinating my chicken thighs and then putting in the air fryer so my kitchen isn’t getting so hot, but I think sous vide would maybe not heat up the house either, so I’m interested in trying it. I’m a home cook so I’m nervous about actually using it …thanks, again.

A few dashes of soy sauce in tuna salad gives it good flavor and doesn’t overpower it

Hi Jen, thanks so much for this helpful video. I love my salad spinner, use it all the time. I may get the Oxo mini chopper and grader/slicer. I usually use my Vitamix for chopping, but sometimes, it’s too much of a hassle. My favorite is the classic Tuna and Chicken Sandwich. My trick for peeling eggs is from Racheal Eay, your favorite. Roll the egg on the counter to crack the shell. Then put the egg in water so that the water gets under the shell and it comes right off. It even works the next day. Have you tried Hello Fresh’s Zucchini & Sun-Dried Tomato Panini? The version with bacon has become part of the regular rotation around here. The sauce step is also an amazing dip for the potato wedges. Sooo good. Viva la sandwich

I’ve been making a sandwich every Sunday in the last month. I’ve made a Cuban, a turkey club, an Italian sub, and a couple of others. I found a recipe from 1981 for egg salad that is so different and delicious. A huge fan of a good sandwich.
