All your work will be well worth it when you see the look on that young mans face when he takes his first ride. What a different world we would have if more parents spent some time with their kids. Awesome video ! 👍

I have to say, I enjoy your videos. I am a DIY and often have to deal with the crap I have on hand, so its nice watching someone else the same way, then add your sense of humor to the mix and its a win win. Keep it up!

Randomly came across your videos when I was looking to find a cheap bike project to do with my daughter. Really enjoying watching and learning from all your videos. You have a great way about you of explaining. Great family you have there as well! I wish I could find bikes in Canada like you can where you are. NOT very easy!

If I'm correct, you don't put mixed gas in the gas tank, you only put in straight gas. The oil sump for the 2-cycle oil that you just put will automatically mix the gas and oil for you.

Back in high school I had a Cushman Eagle, they didn't come with a key, just a kill switch. I wanted to ride it to school, but needed a key switch so it wouldn't be stolen at school, so we had a key switch installed, next day I went out to start it so I could ride it to school, it wouldn't start, I kicked it at least 50 times, went back in the house and told my dad it wouldn't start, so he asked me if I used the key....it started when I put the key in it. I should mention the switch was out of sight on the back side of the engine, you had to look for it to even see it, plus you started it on the other side of the bike from the switch.so I had a little bit of an excuse for forgetting.

For a family riding two strokes I can see the advantage of eliminating the oil pump stuff....everyone uses the same premix....We had one of these for years my sin never did break it and he rode the crap out of it....indestructible....butI swear Idont remember it having an injection system...weird....the next bike I bought him was PW80 and then a BW80 and same thing....dont remember that injection system...must have had one I just don't remember it

i worked on one of these about a year ago... that stupid kill switch screwed with me at first... but the problem was the carb... the guy bought a chinese carb from ebay and it flooded immediately... the needle had no rubber tip and the seat was not rubber either... they sent another carb for free and all was well
@zx8401ztv7 жыл бұрын
Dam that bike keeps giving and giving :-(, so many problems that i wonder if it ever ran propperly. Yes that piston does look damaged, the rings/bore won't be any better :-(, but if it has enough power to trundle around then being slower is safer for the lad :-) Sometimes just taking something apart and fondling the parts makes it work, i've done this many times and the item works again!, the down side is ya don't know what the fault was lol.
@jenniesgarage7 жыл бұрын
Yes the problems are really popping up. My perception of the bike in general has changed from "well used but still solid" to something less complimentary.

you should eliminate that oil injector. They are notorious for failing and burning up the engine. Premix the gas like a real 2 smoker.

hey buddy, you should buy an ultrasonic cleaner from Harbor Freight. then you can just use water in a little shot of Mean Green Engine degreaser to clean all your carburetors.

A set of Japanese industry standard (JIS) screwdrivers will save your fasteners. Phillips screwdrivers will chew them up.
@gabrielmolinari10795 жыл бұрын
You could have just tap the bottom of carburetor with a screwdriver and the flot might not have been stuck any more. And the gas comes out of the over flow like it did could have ment the flot was stuck
