Yes. The split second after hearing his name or seeing his picture I sort of deflate - from the internal stress I carry around -- and I get a sense of well being.

That is so true! Sometimes I still well up with tears when I think about him or see his films on my screen 📺! I grew up with him! John Candy and John Goodman were and still are like my tv and movie Dads! They just hold a very special place in my heart forever! We miss you forever John Candy!❤

30 years without him; it seems like yesterday, I was watching a VHS of Rookie Of The Year when I casually picked up that day's newspaper and found something that still hurts me to this day: "Muere Candy". My jaw dropped to the table. I turned to my wife, and still looking at the TV screen said to her, "You can't imagine who died yesterday". When she asked I simply pointed to the TV, John was there, brilliantly playing baseball broadcaster Cliff Murdoch. Couldn't believe it, he was so young. 😟

"Hi, Buck Melanoma, Moley Russell's wart." That scene in Uncle Buck had me rolling in the aisle, especially at the end when he flips the lady a quarter and says, "Here's a quarter. Why don't go and have a rat gnaw that thing off your face." Here's the scene: kzbin.info/www/bejne/b5echJefgbFnpZI and you can tell that the little kid was not aware of what John was going to say. John Candy was my favorite actor. Who could not love that sweet face.. You could just tell he was genuine, loving and caring. It's amazing how much his daughter looks like him. I loved all his movies, but my favorite one is Planes, Trains and Automobiles. He and Steve Martin were amazing. That bedroom scene and the socks in the sink were hysterical! I loved the ending, but I cry ever time I watch it. He will always be missed, but we have his movies to keep us laughing. LOVE YOU, JOHN.

Losing John Candy was like losing that Uncle you looked up to. The one who always made you laugh, and everyone loved and always wanted around. Who made you forget about your troubles, and helped you cope with things that brought you down. He's missed terribly. Especially in a world where greed, hate and lack of consideration for your fellow man seems to be what we see daily. Glad to hear that he loved his fans...because we loved him very much. As a comedian, actor...but especially as a human being. His humanity was what made him most compelling.

I CANNOT get through those AWESOME lines of his in Planes, Trains, & Automobiles without choking up. The "What you see is what you get" and "I like me" lines. Those lines right there showed THE WORLD how he could be a very serious legitimate actor when he needed to be. That movie and Uncle Buck were two of my favorites of his. Purely based on his acting ability along with touches of his well renowned comedy. Man i miss you John you were such a wonderful human being. That brought so much joy to so many people. Smoked a pack of Cigarettes a day. Alcohol and they say he always went on a eating Binge! And one more thing, Heart problems were hereditary! His Dad Passed on prematurely from heart attack at an early age. Death is like going in one room, into another, as simple as that! Johns in Heaven and having a really good time!✝ ❤❤

He truly was a special person to an entire generation that greater than 25 years after his passing, the good person who he was, the laughter and thoughtfulness he showed as a person, like Robin Williams, is an incredible loss to this world that often in sad contrast showed them hardship. I hope both John Candy's and Robin Williams's families know how blessed so many of us who remember and cherish not only their movies and for making us laugh and feel, but simply as demonstrable wonderful, caring, generous, dedicated people. Thank you. RIP
