He wasn’t ready for love on the first film. His interest in Esmerelda was out of desperation. His relationship with her is also what set him apart from Frollo. Quasi accepts and respects her autonomy and is able to let her go. Frollo would rather die. Only when Quasi was accepted by the people could he truly love. That goes for all of us.

Why complain about the movie? Seriously people. Quasimodo actually met the love of his life. Isn't that really all that matters. The whole point is for him to be happy. That's what Disney gave him with this movie. Overall to me it's a great movie because of the fact that Quasimodo actually gets to live happily ever after. If he didn't then the movie would have definitely sucked. Overall as long as Quasimodo is happy isn't that the main thing to care about? Stop complaining!!!

Gaby George Do not overrate faithfulness to the book. The Jetlag Productions version of this story tried too hard to be faithful to the book, overlooking many important details for making a film. For being carelessly faithful, they had a poorly executed ending, a confusing storytelling, a weak dialogue and an uneven pacing.
