I know there is some kind of technique to produce some of the sounds Jonathan is making without making hamburger of your vocal chords, but for the life of me I can’t imagine.

I too like the " mmm " sound. I use it a lot such as when someone mentions my favorite foods or when I see or smeoo my favorite foods, when I eat my favorite foods and when I look in the mirror. Actually, when I look in the mirror I say " mmm" multiple times but I digress. I always say " mmm " when I see that you have uploaded a new video. Keep trying those bass notes Jennifer.
