Later in the game the puzzles becomes extremely hard, frustrating and stressful and there are puzzles like that all the freaking time and most of them even have a time limit. The Saw games are more puzzle horror games than survival horror games.

Ok so this whole game is about setting up this booby trapped building that is essentially a death house, designed for death, and despite all odds, Tapp survives them ALL, meanwhile this whole escapade is completely counterintuitive to jigsaws supposed ideology, wherein he tests his subjects' innate will to live, thus giving them what he believes is a fair shot at survival, yet we can clearly see here that this gauntlet of nightmares would be enough to kill anyone if not send them into a state of shock (likely ending in death). Tapp surviving over and over again is proof enough of his will to live, yet jigsaw snidely remarks that he's always thinking of himself. Plainly, he does not want Tapp to survive. It could be believed that John Kramer may actually be rooting for the survival of his victims, but I think we can all agree he's more likely a very cynical, sad old man with deep, untreated trauma. Not to mention, a brain tumor on his frontal lobe, which could theoretically impair his sense of right and wrong. My theory is that he has always been a narcissist but was more charming before his life fell apart. There's no way he wasn't the type to stir the pot at work and talk politics just to be controversial and get on his soap box and shit. Like you know he was a prick. Probably a libra. I digress.
