Good show! Gizmo is a star. Glad you got the vaccine; we just got our first yesterday. Will be glad to get the second dose in three weeks. We live in Del Webb in CA so it’s interesting to hear how we compare with the Villages. Look forward to your shows. 👍

grew up in Fl. when they gave polio shots in school! Got both my Covid vaccines. Retired Navy had vaccines throughout my 21 yrs service without a problem. Ingnorance is bliss for some folks

We have lived in New England for generations, love the seasons , but as I wii be celebrating my 77th in a couple of months don't care for the dead of Winter , -12 * , I can do with out ! But in July and August ,the humidity can be just as miserable to endure , enjoy ❤️

I got my first dose of vaccine on Friday, the 19th. My doctor fast tracked me. It’s awful up here. Over 80% of Minnesota vaccine is given to the twin cities. The rest of the state shares the 20% or less. So I’ve been told by my physician.

Hey there 🖐🏻 from Texas 😊 We had a rough few days in Texas,.....but we had a fire place and Thank Jesus,....we had no broken pipes 🙌🏻 It’s rare we have really bad ice and snow like last week. My husband got his Covid shot yesterday in Leesburg, he was in and out in 20 minutes, it was a special location for our Veterans! Zero symptoms, not even a sore arm.

Just got my second vaccine and sitting down to have some lunch and catching up on more of your videos. What, they have mosquito trucks?? I haven't seen one of those since the 70's! Florida and Texas have a lot of things in common and mosquitos are one of them.

We have long term insurance and bought in our mid 50’s (we are in our early 60’s). We pay about $3,500 a year total for both of us. Assistant Living is $5-7,000 a month right now and that’s not a hardship I wish to put on my family down the line. We actually increased our coverage a few years back. This is insurance that has a time frame for getting (in your 50’s I believe).

There are satellite police offices in each square, they are just not visible for a reason. Police in uniform use to patrol the squares but then TV’s decided they didn’t like the optics of this and now we have community watch at squares. If you see something that doesn’t look right call Community Watch and they call the police.

My experience with 2 HOA’s is that they ARE power hungry ‘clerks with guns’. Also, I had to stop feeding birds because of 3 expensive visits from my plumber due to the seed attracting rodents that actually chewed holes in my pex water pipes and caused major water damage that I didn’t find for months.

I've been watching you's 2 for a month now and I like hearing what you have to say about the village it makes me thinking on moving to the Village once it's time for me to Retire!! but I have a question actually 2-1 do any of the houses there have Gas Stove I finally want to be able to cook on gas stove again!!2- have you ever checked out any other 55+ area's, cuz I kinda want to go more down south towards the Gulf area. I was happy to see you get your Covid shots--we have received both of ours and have been back out into the world--doing actual shopping--not just short runs to get groceries. We've been out to eat (although we have been sitting outside), to Costco, Dillards, Lowe's, Petsmart ... places we didn't dare go to before. I feel like we are not only protecting ourselves, but doing our bit to protect others. Gizmo still looks like a pup! You must take great care of him.

Where you guys were from in southern Indiana... it's not really that cold of a climate. I mean, compared to the Dakotas and all... I think Kentucky and Tennesee are the perfect balance of having seasons, and yet winter not being too harsh. This cold outbreak we had here in Missouri was brutal... but also something that has never happened before in my 53 years on this earth.

@@JERRYANDLINDA My Grandmother lived in West Frankfort, Illinois, so for me, her house being 200 miles south of mine geographically... the winters were certainly there, but nothing I'd call harsh. I'm kind of a weather geek, and some things will really surprise you, for instance, in the winter, Anchorage, Alaska is WARMER than Fargo, North Dakota! I love hills and trees and beautiful scenery, the Blue Ridge Mountains I think would be my ideal.

My folks are 89 and 85, they moved here in 2017 to Kentucky after full-time RVing for 20 years. They, we, ALL want to go back to living freely. It’s been a long year but they, at their age, were most vulnerable. As their daughter I sure as heck didn’t want to bring illness or death to them so yes, I wear a mask to buy groceries and anytime I’m in a store. I did their shopping since March 2020. I am grateful the VA has given my Dad his vaccines and yesterday at the University of Kentucky my Mom received her first. Whew, at least I feel they have protection. I cannot personally quantify ANYTHING about covid, the state of our government, what is or isn’t a line of b.s., or anything other than the fact my family here avoided covid personally. We sacrificed but we are here a year later to complain about it, lol. We had family members in other states test positive. The fact is, we still have freedom here in the USA to choose to believe what we choose to believe. I will take that over anything, even when we as Americans don’t agree or believe the same. When I qualify, yes, I will take the vaccine. It’s a personal choice that doesn’t negatively impact anyone else on this planet.

The Villages is ever growing. I live south of 44 and it takes me 30 minutes to drive from my house to the Savannah Center area or Glenview CC. But it’s a beautiful drive.

My 84 year old mom has myasthenia gravis - which is a neurological autoimmune disease. She cannot take any vaccines ever again. Thank you so much to those who DO get the vaccine. You are helping keep my mom safe. Thank you very, very much. There are more folks out there who cannot get vaccinated do to health problems - so having most others vaccinated helps keep the virus at bay. Appreciate you all.

But we are finally starting to melt the snow in Chicagoland. So glad you got your first vaccine. My 90 year old dad got his first vaccine last week.
