I went with Rivian Blue for my truck and I’m very glad I did. The only other color I would have rather had was Launch Green but blue is very much my personality. On range. While you’re right that the ATs will reduce range to arond 270ish miles, that’s also in All Purpose mode. I’ve been using Conserve mode for my longer road trips and I’m getting 310-320. I’ve also found that drafting a safe distance behind a semi or RV makes a very large difference on range.

Many thanks for the excellent work Jerry. Loving the Rivians just so disappointed they won’t be available in the UK. All they need in addition is one of these supposedly soon available longer range battery packs and you couldn’t want anything more. Colours … remember, if you’re unhappy with colour choice there’s always a wrap. Then any colour or finish is possible. And if you don’t like it just peel back to original

I've owned black, white, and silver vehicles for over 30 years. I bought a new vehicle last year that was on order for about 18 months. I originally ordered it in gray, but when I went to test drive one of the dealer's test units, it was a bright orange/yellow. I thought about it a few days and then changed my order to the orange/yellow. I've owned it for just over a year now and I love it. It is just a vibrant, happy color.

One of the best announcer voices on KZbin. This guy should have a multimillion dollar network gig. Both Rivian's are awesome and as Farhan, in the chat said, you can wrap it. A quality wrap is easily reversible if you change your mind later. I'm a little bored with white/black/grey/silver too.

Love to see your perspective on Rivian vehicles; hope they do well as a company. I would love to own an R1S but it cost more than I wanted to spend. Ended up getting a Tesla Model Y long range and it works perfectly for me. I chose the Deep Blue Metallic which looks great on it, especially after changing the emblems and Tesla logos to Matte Black.

So exciting that I'm starting to see Rivians trucks around more and more often. I even spotted a R1S a few weeks ago out in the wild. Colorwise I also saw what I presume was a wrapped R1T in a nice Burgundy color. The nice bright colors definitely being more eyes to them

Great vid. Gas inefficiency has nothing to do with why the range is longer though. It’s simply because gas is easier to store as energy because you don’t need a battery.

I had my reservation set to El Cap Granite, because I saw it in person and it looks amazing (all of Rivian's colors are amazing, really). But then I had the same thought as you. You only live once. I've owned black, grey, or white cars for most of my life when I had the choice. It's time to shine. I pick up my Rivian Blue R1T on the 5th. Great video!

a few mistakes in the writing there like the thing about gas powered trucks not having range affected much by offroad tyres instead of road tyres. yeah it does affect just the same. And the rearmost seats you didnt mention the back seats not latching back in to the same position, they go forward a bit when you latch them from behind.meaning the mid row gets less leg room in the scenario you demonstrate. Good point about color preferences. I would go for the blue or yellow, love both those colors. I have an acid gold (yellow) Aprilia Tuareg and I have my eye on the 20th anniversary Golf R in lapiz blue metallic. Having both those colors in my garage would balance out the black and tan clothes I tend to wear! Too bad I'd have to spend more on marked up MSRP and potentially miss out on tech features due to chip avail. Also I'd hate to see the new model golf r (mk9) be so much better with regards to interior interaction decisions. They went with haptic stuff, no buttons. :( Another car on my list is Polestar 2 but their colors aren't very vibrant. Although the black performance one with the gold calipers and seat belt is one of the best styles I've seen yet. Then there's the matter of going electric or staying in a gas car. Electric motorcycles look appealing as well.

White is certainly a safe color choice and is good for resale in the mean time if you really want to see what a splash of color looks like get your truck wrapped it costs around $4000 where I live and can last up to 5 years if you take care of it. Plus it protects your original paint so win win really.

Life's too short to own a "company car" color. F black, white and silver, go nuts when you have the option. I like that color conservative car companies started embracing wild colors now (e.g. Skoda with liem green, VW and Peugeot with their yellow-gold, EU Ford with vibrant red and blue, Hyundai goes with some pastel colors etc). I am buying Meteor 350 next year and I have ordered Supernova Blue for this exact reason.

White also helps keep the vehicle cooler in the sunmer, and doesn't show dirt as well like a black car. Having worked as a firefighter, White cars are very safe as they are highly visible. I'm actually debating on buying an R1T I do like their Blue, but I also like the El Capo Granite color, never really liked yellow for a car looks like a taxi. I do like the green they have, but honestly having owned a white vehicle I like the benefits from that non color lol. One option I thought of was to just have it painted and I really like that burnt orange metallic. The BMW i8 had a really nice copper burnt orange color I always liked for a car. Yeah it's good to have some color i also like to pic a color that isn't in the norm, that way year later it makes the vehicle stand out and can be a major collector. A great example of that is when my Dad bought a Ram Charger in 1978 new off the lot it stood out among the sea of cars as it was a forest army dark green with a white top. Turns out today there were less than 100 Ram Chargers ordered with the White and green oh and there's the optional yellow and brown pin strip, (meh the 70s lol) I was given my Dad's Ram Charger when he passed and it still runs and drives needs to be restored some as it has been outside a bit longer than I would have liked...and has some things that just have finally staopped working, but I get tons of folks asking if Im selling it and no is always the answer. So yeah it goes well to get a more colorful car or pick out one that not many have ordered, but overall go with what makes you feel good. You can always have your Rivian painted, and with 7 million subscribers I sure you can swing the price. That green blue irradesant color is cool too. White is an efficient color its also the color of a leader. It's bright in the darkness and keeps its cool. White is also a smart persons color as it not only hides dirt but hides scratches too. White is also the color of future. As its an unknown. Thanks for the video.

I found your initial R1T review and realized you live in a house I was actually looking at when it was still on the market. Nice to see you so close to home. But Also loved the honest reviews of both. I to love the look of the off-road tires but you give a good point on the street tires. I am looking at getting the R1S but it would be for my wife to commute in vs my Taco that I off road in. Something to consider that I didn't before. just wish I would have bought in during the reservation period and saved the $20K

If you want to change your revian’s color, you can with different colors that available in like rubber film. Once you are done with the color you can remove it at home and it won’t affect the original white color
