Skoda is Czech and is part of VAG (the VW-Audi-Group which includes VW, Audi, Seat, Porsche, Lamborghini, Bentley, Ducati). What you drove is basically a VW Polo (or Audi A1) that is dressed differently haha. A Polo with slightly cheaper materials if you like!

The nick name of the town is actually ONE ON TOP OF THE OTHER WINDOWS not A THOUSAND WINDOWS. That's because the town is built on a slope and the windows of one house seem to be on top of the the other house's windows.

You guys had 2 staple dishes of Elbasan, "tave me kumbulla" pot with prunes and "tave kosi" pot with yogurt. Wonder if you had a chance to eat "simite me bugace," Elbasan's staple breakfast: bread rolls with buttered phyllos covered with melted butter.

Skoda is a Czech company that had been making cars for a long time since 1895. In 1990s, it partnered with Volkswagen to make VW cars and in 2000s, VW acquired it. Hence, you are driving a VW car made in Czech. Good car, used to see some Skoda cars in Malaysia some time ago. Cheers

I have a Škoda, they are part of the VW group, first time I drove one it was a hire car also, in Slovenia. Liked it so much , I bought I bought an Škoda Octavia vRS soon after. Architecture is great to view and things so traditional. Fruit and veg is most likely all organic and as such will taste much better. Lamb is very popular in neighbouring greece also and many places to eat are also called taverna's. That was one meat feast you had there. The guest house looks stunning.

Between Elbasan and Berat is a place called Belsh. I wished you could have stopped there for a drone view. There are so many small lakes there in the middle of the nature. I am sure you didn't know about it.

You are within castle of Elbasan. Tave kosi or yougurt with lamb is very traditional. It is the best combination because not only it is tasty, but this combination neutralizes the lamb smell. You do not feel the lamb odor

The meat is not Halal unfortunately. The people in Albania often identify as Muslim, but they are very relaxed with their peactice.

@@rumisteps988 everything is done halal way we pray before we slaughter the animal cut their throat and let the animal bleed for 12hr that’s how it’s done but we never called it halal or not halal it’s just a way we always did it and the meat isn’t mixed Muslim butchers don’t slaughter or sell meat pork honestly even catholic Albanians don’t consume pork only for some special occasion.
