Okay, I'm a little bit emotional right now, but I'll try to say it. The thing is, I'm not the kind of a person to cry over media content much, I'd say I'm pretty tough when it comes to this, but *this* song. This song had me in *tears.* It's so... I dunno, it really touches something very deep inside of me. It brings back the memories of better days and reminds me what a mess I've become, and how scary life can be sometimes. We might never get our ever after after all. We might never see the better days again and just... die at any given moment, at the lowest point of our lives. But this song is comforting. It fills you with hope and makes you see light in the darkest of the days. It makes you go through your deepest fears and regrets and then say that it's okay. Even if there's no point in living, even if you're broken and suffering, it's okay, because you still can at least try to make it better. Pull yourself together and live, and maybe one day you'll succeed at finding your own happy ending. This song is beautiful. It is the first time I cried over music. I don't know if anyone's gonna read this at all, but if so, please, don't lose your hope. Never lose it. If you lose your hope, you will lose yourself, your sanity. Stay strong. We'll make it through.

About 3 years ago, I was clicking on random songs in the related items bar. That search led me to this exact video. I remember thinking "Holy shit, this is perfection." So began a three year journey of concerts and merchandise and making it through some of the hardest shit I've experienced with help from this band who has become my favorite. I've met them twice and turned quite a few friends onto them. All thanks to your video. Thank you so much for introducing me to my heroes.

This song and most of the other songs in this ablum got me through a lot years ago. I listened to it again today, at 30 years old, and was blown away in a different way. The lyrics are some of the most well rewritten, for a specific demographic. They actually fit well with my own sruggles. I've shared it before, and I'll graciously share it again. Such an underrated song/album.

This song almost pretty much sums up the whole story a bit in the Ever After album. So no, it's not just you that noticed this. The other song that sums up the album and the story in the album's booklet is "No Place Like Home". This is why I love their songs/music! Some of it adds up and some lyrics are references to their other songs! :D
@zoxEmoRoXasxoz11 жыл бұрын
The background melody is from Perfect Porcelain as well.

They do songs like this on all of their albums to basically sum up the enitre album in, in this case, two songs: Ever After and No Place Like Home.

Josh always ties in things from other songs and other albums into other pieces. there's a bunch of hidden ones. like in toy soldiers he has a few lyrics from masterpiece theater, and in masterpiece theater he has some lyrics from fix me, etc. it's actually really cool.
