The rest of this album is just as beautiful. Jewel is very special as is this album.

The album "Pieces of You" changed the way I listen to music. I felt like it was the first album I heard rather than just listened to. Her story telling is incredible.

Listening to Jewel, it reminds me of Joni 6:35 Mitchell. Her voice has these soaring parts th 6:45 at knocks the wind out of you for a moment or i have a chill (unsuspecting that soar just happened ) her voice is beautifully textured.

Thank you, Marnie!! I fell in love with this song when I was far too young to fully appreciate it. I used to play it on repeat. It was on tape, so that was a lot of rewinding! Lol

Definitely a masterpiece of a song. Always hits me in the heart.

Ben Keith produced this album. Keith is a legendary Nashville multi-instrumentalist who worked primarily with Neil Young since 1971. Keith passed away on Young's ranch about 10 years ago while working on an album there. Keith's first big hit studio gig was Patsy Cline's recording of "I Fall To Pieces". I got to see Keith play on a 2004 tour with Young, so good! RIP Ben. Pieces of You is a great album.

Hey Saeed! Would love to see you try "Bittersweet Symphony" by The Verve if you don't already know it. Amazing song, deep lyrics, very popular.

Thank you. SO much. I am new to your channel. I am wandering KZbin because the reaction channels I liked the best quite apparently do not want to listen to a broader spectrum of female artists. It has been mere token songs by women. Mostly only appreciating the "bangers". Now that is sad, to not care much about female writing, perspectives and performances.

A "deep cut" request. --> No Fear No Hate No Pain (No Broken Hearts). By The Eurythmics. Production by Dave Stewart, singing by Annie Lennox.
