The book of Esther in the Bible explain the feast of Purim. It's definitely not like mardi gras. They are thanking and celebrating God for saving them

@toniturner3478 Жыл бұрын
@@asdfgh-uh6cy Thanking God is the main point. The drinking of wine goes all the way back to the book of Genesis. They had no refrigeration or any way to keep the juice from fermenting. Nowhere in scripture does God tell man not to drink wine. As a matter of fact the Messiah's first miracle involved His turning water into what? WINE.(John 2). Apparently was "good stuff" though. I'm sure that at the last supper He did not hold, bless and drink Kool-Aid. What the Bible does say is "Do not be DRUNK with wine, wherein is EXCESS." So the sin is in excess of anything. Excess leads to sickness and death which is not Father's intention for us. If I know that I have a problem with actual wine, I choose to abstain or have the juice unfermented. Some modern day Christian churches have made it a rule for their people not to partake of wine or any form of alcohol. Some use actual wine during the sacraments, or taking communion, while still offering unfermented juice. If one belongs to that church that forbids it, I believe one should abide by that ruling, but it's not a scriptural mandate or a reason to criticize the way others choose to worship. In fact there are only the 5 aspects of ministry according to Ephesians.4, and not one of them is "criticism". Love is the greatest commandment.(Mark 11:30-31 & 1 Corinthians 13.)

Jehovah's Witnesses do not celebrate Purim. However, its NOT a mosaic law celebration, but requested to be celebrated. So why not? Its to honor Jehovah. It was a celebration that celebrated a mig turn of events. similar to if the Russian leader, Putin, had a relative that was secretly studying with Jehovahs witnesses, and then he finds out and has a change of heart on Witnesses. She is given a position over civil justice for religious freedom in Russia or something, and she uses it to have those that were plotting against witnesses, arrested and given 6 years. She then uses her influences to get Ituraea to release all witnesses. there is no comment about celebrating the festival of Lots in the New testament, but is that reason enough to not celebrate it? the jews today treat it like Carnival and fat tuesday or something. well christians turned easter into bunny rabbits. And the Passover into a weekly thing... but witnesses still celebrate the memorial as jesus said to do. So he said keep doing this in remembrance of me. Does that therefore imply, "stop doing anything else that was in honor of jehovah?" I dont see any reason witnesses shouldn't celebrate Purim, but in a respected way, and not including Masquerade balls and dressing in rainbows and in drag! LOL thats like adding bunny rabbits into the resurrections of jesus LOL just because people in the world are celebrating something wrongly, what does that have to do with GODS people doing it properly?

This Purim festival is the festival when Esther massacred the Iranian Zoroastrians, the holocaust of the Zoroastrians was at the hands of the Jews, even though Cyrus the Great saved the Jews, this festival is a smile on the Iranians and Zoroastrians. it is a lie in the book of ester. she was a liar even though she didn't tell the Shah she was a jews, and she was preparing and eating her kosher food in hiding.
