What an amazing story of courage and love. So very moved. Did she have children? What was her career? And did she ever find her brother from the other family?

That is a rather odd remark to say the least. I know models who are Jewish. Being Jewish does not affect a persons looks negatively. Your statement is intolerant and unnecessary!

Nice story, sadly Catholics in Poland are still very anti-semitic. I was yelled at in 1997 in Warsaw for wearing a yarmulka, well before the Middle East was in radar for Poles in the 1990s.

Sorry to hear that. As a Pole I do feel very sorry for all the Poles of Hebrew faith the way they were treated by their countrymen of the so-called Christian faith! Very sad, indeed...

She doesn’t look Jewish! Though her eyes show sadness. Very sad...what a great Pole!!! She may be disappointed w/ Poland, but her heart is Polish!! Am very proud of Poles of Hebrew faith!

Maybe DISAPPOINTED with Poland??? After paying much money and land to get their child back - who was only given away to be saved from being murdered - by Germans OR by Poles? "Disappointed" with losing so many family members? Many Poles helped the Nazis.

"Doesn't look Jewish". When you look at the World Cup football teams of England, France, Germany, Netherlands, etc. please advise which players "look" English, French, German, Dutch, etc., and which do not Piotr. Etc.. I wouldn't want to be an ignorant POS, without your insight.

This is very sad. The Poles would have murdered her, had they known. And then for her to be anti- Semitic must have hurt her poor parents. Although her adoptive parents took her in, they were horrible people. And for her to admire them, is so very terrible.

So sad to realize that your saviors only saved you because they thought you were not Jewish. Terrible.

I really do not like this interview. This woman was born at a time when prejudice lead to the murders of millions and yet she herself shows some much prejudice. Her comments about the children from Africa, who really were from North Africa (the only area jews came to Israel were from North Africa: Morocco, Algeria and Tunisia. are condescending and borderline racist. Do not understand why they would choose her testimony. Also amazingly, her parents who witness the killing of their fellow jews seem to themselves reject their roots and self loathing. There are many more powerful, inspiring, moving survivors testimonies. this one not inspiring or enlightening at all. Disappointment

148ESTHER I agree she is a bit annoying, but you have to think she was a young impressionable girl and had no idea she was Jewish. Also I don’t think we should censor any reality of this event, which includes the unfortunate prejudice of Jews towards their own selves and people.
