Jeff that's why I love Nevada, 500-600 mile trips done in no time there lol. As far as the traffic mod, when you make a left at a four way highway crossing all four lanes, it takes forever so I usually have to save the game and jump back in otherwise risk getting a lot of damage. Could make it more interesting though!

Hells yes on more ATS vids please! Also, with seeing rear tires on vehicles in front of you when stopped is part of CDL training. NTSB recommends it, and you need to do so while obtaining a CDL, however it is not an enforced law, at least not where I am at.

If you're looking for some fun or an extra challenge then get yourself the Peterbilt 389 with the long chassis... Some of those parking jobs take you almost as much time as the drive itself, but man is it fun!

I think this is a good series and I think is a good break from your other series revolving around GTA 5. While the LSPDFR and SAPDFR videos are still awesome, it's nice to see some change of pace stuff. Every once in a while we all need to play a game that is relaxing. Highway 99 parallels I-5 up and down California in real life, the two actually merge near the Grapevine in Southern California as you head in to the Tehachapi Mountains (heading south to LA). So if you enjoyed driving I-5 you should give Highway 99 a try. I've driven to Vegas a few times and I-15 is wide open between CA and NV. And when the expansion comes, I-10 from LA to Pheonix is wide open too.

I would have to agree with you Jeff about that anticlimactic train. The trains paint scheme was a BNSF or ( Burlington Northern Santa Fe ) but re written because of copyright, it was pretty realistic to have that paint scheme on the train because BNSF owns most of Nevada's rails.

Driver training up here in Canada for regular license, states when behind a vehicle you should be able to see their back tires when in stopped traffic. Nobody really does it, but it's in the driver training manual :)

To me and my opinion seems like when I'm out on the road driving in this game seems like the miles get cut down in five minutes of before you know it. I like the game so far in the few days I've owned it and went city to city and state to state. All finish but I'll keep on playing. I gotta add some of the mods your using Jeff. Btw jeff I don't know if it's the same thing in Europe, but if you're carrying something flammable like petrol, or anything chorosive and such, at rail way tracks you have to put your hazard lights on and come to a full stop before crossing, even if there's no train. Just a reminder :p

I know you have saturation low, which does look nice, but if you can turn fhe brightness or contrast up a little i think it might help, that way it looks less tinted.

How accurate are these little towns, and really the game in general? Like where you see a gas station in the game, is that really a gas station in real life, etc.? Are there like neighborhoods and such as well, or does it stick mainly to highways and major roadways? Also, if the distance in real life between two places is 70 miles, for example, and you are going 70MPH in the game, would it take 1 hour of in game time to travel that distance? Or are distances pretty arbitrary/times? I've only seen a few episodes of this from you, so sorry if you talk about it in a different part!

Hey Jeff, you don't need a mod for traffic. Squirrel just edited the config file and changed g_traffic to 2 and it increased the traffic. i would want to see a more realistic traffic mod that adds more driver personality to the other motorist.

Actually, the look thing about the back tires is more for cars about having a space cushion in case you get hit from behind. (Thought in trucks I highly doubt a truck will move forward by any amount getting hit by a car unless it was another truck. So you'd still want the space cushion)

a good way to get the truck up to speed I've learned in ETS 2 is let your RPM climbs up to a medium/high area speed will climb faster
