Dude was a legendary frontman for sure but he was bat shit crazy with drugs. Been in bands myself and they had their hands full with him. It’s one of the things that made him great sadly. A beautiful disaster waiting to happen at anytime.
@emmaleechase6133 жыл бұрын
I think he was likely a good and kind person, but drugs and alcohol can literally make people sick and crazy over time. The neurological damage caused, as they blow out their dopamine receptors, makes folks less able to calm down and self regulate their emotions, over time. One friend (enabler) said Scott would drink and do drugs (incl Rx pills) until he was batshit crazy by bedtime. Saw aliens and stuff. Crackerman. It’s heart-wrenchingly sad. Dude likely needed to live in a sober house F/T. But it’s expensive, and people have ‘rights’. Incl the right to ultimately self-harm with their feel-good and numbing substances. Some addiction doctors won’t even let patients smoke cigarettes, bc it still tickling those dopamine receptor addiction pathways. Not true sobriety. Scott also said he had an eating disorder too, in one interview. And add trauma , the death of his two (2) brothers, loss of his Dad early in life and bipolar to the mix. His type of history is common among many folks w severe addictions. Hitting bottom is bullshit. We don’t leave people with a broken arm, or to die of a heart attack, to teach them a lesson… 💔💔💔💔💔

I saw STP 2001 New Year’s Eve at the hard rock In Orlando! I went by myself cause everyone either had to work or couldn’t afford the $100 plus tab! That was easily a top 3 out of the 100 plus concerts I’ve seen! They played all their hits then went to the edge of the stage and did all the same songs acoustically! Then did them all again electric! It simply blew me away! I met this smoking hot chic there and we made plans for afterwards but then some jerk robbed her and she went after him into the crowd and I never saw her again! Either way I had so much fun that was one of the best times I ever had mostly by myself!
