in the detroit area it is long term muslims running everything. when you use cash they will short change you by as much as they can, for example you hand them $20 for a $5 purchase and they will hand you a $5 bill back and fold it in half, they have been know to hand back funny money as well

It's quite straightforward-avoid places with swipe or insert card payment systems. I stick to tap-to-pay for its enhanced security, which is why I don't shop at Home Depot. It's absurd that they haven't embraced tap-to-pay yet; you still have to use the scanner gun at checkout like it's the year 2000. I prefer ordering online for pick-up to bypass this inconvenience.

There are places that do not take tap, such as Walmarts I have been to. But I have not been to a place that does not take the smart chip yet. So, how about destroy the magnetic stripe. How? Easy, a strong magnet and rub it all over the stripe making the data mute.

The magnetic reader needs the strip to go past it above a certain speed. If you put your chip card in, do it very slowly, both ways.

In Jersey you’re not allowed to pump your own gas…and some places take your card into their booths to do the transaction….maybe that helps prevent credit card theft…

Mul-T-Lock has keys with moving parts, very hard to obtain key blanks as they're controlled by Mul-T-Lock and hard to make. That would take away the master key problem where they put the device inside the pump machine. Perhaps banks could also start offering optional extra cards that have only the chip and no stripe or antenna, as well as cards that have only the antenna and no chip contacts or stripe.

They should make a law where the cashier inside behind the desk is only allowed to use your card with his card reader so that way no customers can access it. That way, they’ll be responsible. The only way to tamper with it is to jump the counter and fiddle with it. Make punishment many years in prison. Maybe stop using cards all together. Go to a bank teller instead of ATM’s

Some credit unions it dont matter what you have in savings account. Its whats in checking thats available. Only put what you anticipate of using into checking. That way should your card gets lost or stolen thieves get nothing.

Well their is a workaround if your card has RFID use tap if not tape the mag stripe to where it’s not visible insert it and the skimmer wont be able to read the card and the scammers wont be able to clone the card to steal money
