@@botcl-games That's a feature. If the 'AI' is responsible, and they don't know how the AI makes its decisions, that's called plausible deniability and is a useful thing to have in court. "Oh no your honor, there's no way our demonetization flags could be as all these decisions are simply made by our well trained AI - not by fallible underpaid customer service reps or highly overpaid executives. As you can see, *no one* is at fault here."

Absolutely. This is probably intentional and automatic by KZbin. Just randomly demonetize channels, make the process complicated and frustrating to get re-instated. It will save them a ton of money.

@@Notdave29 I prefer to believe that KZbin is now an incomprehensible Cthulhu-esque mess, even to the people running it, because the people who built and designed it a decade ago, have been made redundant for cheaper, less experienced staff who can't fathom how things work but know that "press button, light come on" that fixes most things. That's usually how these things go but technology now has "machine learning" which means that very quickly even the people who designed things have no idea how they work, and this is seen as a good thing...🤔

@ Because if they randomly demonetize thousands of accounts, some of those will be channels they run ads on. Key word being randomly. No one at KZbin decided to demonetize anyone. I assume it’s just a random script that does it automatically because this isn’t unusual or rare. It happens to thousands of creators all the time.

I had a similar incident with a courier company where someone scanned my parcel with their scanner in the wrong mode so instead of the scan saying it was now at the depot or whatever, it said it was delivered. This is a common mistake and normally gets fixed automatically the next time the parcel receives a scan. The problem was that the next update to my parcel said that it had been damaged (probably got crushed by a forklift or something). I had a hell of a time convincing anyone at the courier company that they had damaged and subsequently lost my parcel because of that mistake. Took about 3 months to clear up.

I have had endless problems with KZbin. One channel was completely demonetised, one has demonetised videos and a few days ago my main channel was completely removed. Others I know have complained of the same, but I like me, theirs have been reinstated. I'm pleased you have your channel back.

The update we’ve all been waiting for! It feels so respectful of your audience to keep us looped in even after the “call to action” has died down. Not sure I’ve ever seen a youtuber give a “stand down, no need for extra attention” order. Makes the whole channel stand out just a little bit more tbh

So... the lesson to take away from this is that large creators whose primary income comes from non-adsense sources need to SHUT DOWN their channel's adsense accounts and refuse advertisements on their videos. Turn being a successful creator into a net liability for KZbin and tell them that you decided that their adsense program wasn't worth the effort and that you'll reconsider when evidence of a much-needed revamp that improves responsiveness comes to light.
